We ordered 3 plates: the raw beef which was good the pulled pork bun which was way too dry (both bun and meat), it was even difficult to finish. When I told the waiter at the counter, he told me that it was normal for pulled pork to be this dry. the hot dog which was also way too dry and plain (too much mediocre bread, ketchup, the sausage was ok) The chips were good, but pricey (4,3 euro for a small plate) Overall, it's quite a mediocre experience for the price (10 euros per plate without sides), especially since there are a lot of good places in town, even cheaper than that. They even have the audacity to make you pay for the coverts, even though it's self service at the counter. One more thing, there is a children playroom, which is nice and we'll equipped, it's too bad that they put a big television in the middle, I don't understand what is the point of this, it seems contradictory to the very principle of slow food (children are attracted to the screen...
Read moreFood: both I and my dad felt sick after eating here, with stomach and belly pain that lasted for several hours. The taste of the burgers was anyways underwhelming. To me the view of the kitchen and the smell suggest poor hygiene.
Service: we had to seat at a dirty table - no one had the function of cleaning the tables.
Atmosphere: It’s modern and in a good location. However personally I find the statues of cows roaming around the tables distasteful in a restaurant that serves primarily cow meat. It recalls the image of an alien civilisation eating human meat, all would be understandable until they display life-like plastic human statues in the restaurants.
Beers: The name on the can of one of the two beers sold here is “Glitch Slap” (you can find it on Google), from a local brewery. I interpret this as a word play recalling “B*c Slap”, a violent expression....
Read moreAm Irish person living in Torino. Meat here tends to be expensive and the portions are normally a bit miserly.am just finishing the last bites of my tuma (cheese) burger, and I must say I'm chuffed. A nice thick burger that tastes like it's just off the grill, alongside a really nice artisan bread bun and nice cheese. I've tried several other burger joints and this actual burger was the best tasting for the same price. PRICE point wise the burger cost 7.80 and my drink was 2.50, which is a higher price than I am used to paying for such fare abroad, but In terms of burgers in Turin, here...
