Art Blue Café — Restaurant in Venice

This was by far the worst Italian food I've had in Italy. We were recommended this place by hotel staff who said, though it isn't run by Italians, tourists like it and Italians like it too. Surprisingly we did see about a handful of Italians come in, but it was apparent it was NOT for the food. The pasta was bland and the biggest insult of the night was the bread basket--therein contained store bought bread (think lowwwww quality, like Wonder bread or a hot dog bun). The restaurant ran out of butter and cheese that night lol (again i don't get how that's possible?_. The service was horrendous. Though the locations is great, it's NOT worth it. So many amazing other restaurants we found later in the trip, and really we made this poor choice out of lack or preparation. Hope you get to enjoy the best of Venice, the food really is amazing at other places...

The food was good, and it's situated in a really nice place - great atmosphere.

Service was just bad. Instead of serving us the drinks they were handing us the drinks. I myself already had a glass in front of me and they kept putting the other drinks in front of me so I could distribute them. Ordered another glass of wine, and the waiter had to ask me what I drink - well check what I've ordered previously Sherlock.

Now all these things are something that I'd happily close my eyes about, but when you charge €3 cover fee per person and the waiter hustles us for tips at the end "There's nothing for the service, sir" - it leaves a really bad taste. I am certain if the waiter was from a local family we wouldn't have been hustled for tips like that.

Honestly one of the worst places I've ever ate in my life. Even tho my gf and I ordered the same first course, one got it the half size of the other, and they refused to change. It was clearly warmed up (badly) with microwave. Not even 5 minutes after we started with first course, the waiter came with the second course. Since we hadn't finished he brought them back. Then we had to wait 30 minutes to get them again. At the question wether they just put them back in a microwave he shamelessly said that they did. Ah and I forgot to say we got kicked out at 9.30pm, they brought us the bill while still eating saying there were no customers so they were closing. I guess we were invisible? Also, all of this for a very expensive bill. They also said they didn't care about us writing this bad review, so...
