The most horrific experience of my life. My son was served food contaminated with nuts despite telling the staff that he has a nut allergy and ordering food which allergens stated were nut free. My son had not eaten for 6 hours prior to this meal so there was no ambiguity about the cause of his anaphylaxis. Although we were aware he has a nut allergy, he has never suffered anaphylaxis all of his 14 years of life. We had to call an ambulance to the restaurant and my son was admitted to hospital for 24 hours. The management did not bother to apologise even though they were aware that we were staying in the next door hotel, or even return our money for this expensive meal which was mediocre at best and which we were unable to finish due to this chaos. On top of that, the service was unhelpful. We were initially given a stool chair for the toddler, which was completely unsafe. When we asked for a high chair, the waitress told us they only had one, and it was already in use. We then asked to be moved to a safer table (which we could see was available), but were told it was reserved—even though I had made a reservation two weeks in advance and clearly mentioned we would be coming with two children. Overall, the experience felt careless and unaccommodating, especially for families with young kids. We won’t be...
