White Monkey | Verona — Restaurant in Verona

White Monkey is a perfect addition to Verona’s selection of bars. I love how it has a bit of a modern glam style, yet very intimate at the same time. The staff are INCREDIBLY WARM and fun. They are always there when you need and very attentive to make your evening magical. I’m a very selective cocktail girl all the way, and their cocktail menu, I must say, is astounding. We had their yummy Mr G which starts like a Negroni but stops after the gin and Campari, and instead adds in juices of Yuzu (Japanese citrus), passion fruit and grapefruit! Then they top it with a big dollop of molecular foam which is so fun to to lap up before arriving at the liquid itself. For bites we had Pad Thai, which doesn’t taste anything like a classic Pad Thai (haha) but that didn’t matter at all, because it was out of this world! The White Monkey is a very enjoyable cocktail bar/bistro. The decor is elegant and modern. The section of wine and cocktails is outstanding. The Monkey features a delightful, varied lunch menu of traditional dishes with creative flares. The octopus salad and the lamb ragù are especially noteworthy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Peggior bar di Verona premetto che sono andato un mese fa. Ma il loro atteggiamento è stato talmente arrogante e sgarbato che mi ero ripromesso avrei scritto questa recensione. Eravamo un gruppo di circa 8/10 persone, ancora prima che ci portassero da bere hanno iniziato a rompere le palle per il tavolo, da notate che quasi tutti i tavoli fuori erano liberi. al momento dell'ordinazione, senza listino prezzi, il cameriare con fare arrogante ci dice che fanno tutti i cocktails e hanno tutti i vini. Dopo svariati "No questo non lo facciamo, no questo ci sentiamo offesi se ce lo chiedi, no questo no" qualcuno è riuscito ad ordinare un cocktail, io ho optato per un calice di vino. Le bevante sono arrivate in compagnia del rinnovo di liberare il tavolo. Niente stuzzichini e patatine, vabbè fa stesso. Il mio calice di vino è stato misurato con un cucchiaio da minestra che mi hanno fatto pagare 5 €, i cocktail sempre minuscoli 8 €. Al di là dei costi che non sto troppo a giudicare, consiglio questo bar solo a persone che quando vanno in giro vedono solo gente "inferiore", sarete serviti da baristi come voi, trattati come si deve e gusterete un sorso di qualsiasi cosa ordiniate con vista cassonetti della spazzatura dall'altra parte della strada (se siete fortunati e la giornata è calda anche il vostro...
