博多炉ばた 鮮魚と蕎麦 炉庵-ROAN- 博多本店 — Restaurant in Fukuoka

Price of breakfast has gone up compared to their price 8 months ago where it was 1200 yen. Nevertheless, for the amount of food offered in the breakfast buffet, the atmosphere, and the attention of details by the cook and the hostess, it was most definitely worth going in my humble opinion. Although you can only buy the voucher to eat there for breakfast at the reception of the hotel, I found out that anyone can go there to eat without being renting a room in the hotel. Lunch and supper are like any restaurant, a la carte menu. They have salad, pasta, fruits, veggies, yogurt, sausage, eggs, miso soup, rice, cold and hot soba to choose, croissant, rye bread, duck, japanese side dishes, fruit juice, vegetable juice, milk, coffee, and probably a dozen more things which I forgot to mention... You can see what they offer in my pictures.

Long story short, in Fukuoka, you can easily spend 3000 yen or more and still hungry when you leave the restaurant, and the food quality can terrible at some restaurants. But for a high quality breakfast buffet, a buffet where you can have all the above, and at 1500 yen the price tax included, I think price is very reasonable.

Honestly, having this restaurant around makes the experience of staying in this hotel much more pleasant, worth it and enjoyable 😊

And breakfast opens at 7am, I suggest you go as soon as it opens, it gets full pretty fast.

It has open tables and semi private section and private sections, good for group of all size or solo traveler.

Chef and the staff in the reservation are very helpful and welcoming and it makes your dining experience a much more pleasant one, compared to many other restaurants we have been in the area. Though they speak and understand limited English, they made a definite effort to understand my requests when I was dining and forgot my keys in my room and needed to go up and pick up my key while I asked them to not take my food tray away while I leave the restaurant for 5 minutes. I will give them 6 star for service if I could. 😊

We visited the restaurant twice during our trip, but unfortunately couldn’t secure a reservation. On our last day in Fukuoka, Sora and the team were so kind to accommodate us without a booking, knowing how much we wanted to try their food. The dishes were truly delicious, and the prices very reasonable.
