I usually do not post or rate hotels, but for this hotel I am making an exception because our stay was extremely unpleasant.
Knowing that this hotel is part of a group of companies, makes me more disappointed with the level of bad service they gave us.
FIRST - You cannot leave your baggage at the hotel after you check out. Usually the reason why you book hotels and not airbnb's is because you can leave your luggage. But this hotel did not even state that in their booking page. We only knew when we arrived. So extra cost and time for you to look for a locker and coin locker. (Not all coin lockers are always available and you have to look for one in the train station)
Cleanliness of the room - 2/5; The room was only cleaned during our first 2 days, then the rest of the days (6 days) it was no longer cleaned. For the other rooms we booked the whole 8 days were not cleaned. Why did we pay for accommodation tax then? There were also a lot of trash under the bed (example: starbucks cup and leftover socks)
Service - 1/5 The only good service given to us was by a woman with a different ethnicity, I asked for her name to commend her here, not sure if I remember it correctly but Sarmila/Sarmiya if I'm not mistaken. The other Japanese man who did not speak english at all was very rude. This was the first time that we had to negotiate for us to be borrowed the vacuum cleaner. We need the vacuum to help us pack our things (vacuum plastic bag to compress clothes). We had to haggle 4x before they gave us the vacuum. The woman wanted to lend it to us, but the man forbade her to do so. The man was not accommodating at all and rude. He gave us a bunch of excuses as to why he can't lend us the vacuum. This is the first time a hotel did that to us. It gave us a headache. Knowing that the timing of this was also the NEW YEAR (Jan 1 - 12am)!! We were packing until 3am because of this incident. When we should've saved at least 1 hour if it weren't for that front desk man. Really bad front customer service. I only want to commend Sarmila/Sarmiya for doing a good job and still being pleasant amidst everything that has happened.
Price - 3/5 Price is ok but given the size of the room, you cannot open your bags. This is not a family friendly hotel despite that they have different room sizes, they do not clean your room properly. If we had known, we would have opted for a different hotel that is higher in price but has good accommodation than this.
Location - 4/5 Location is good and is nearby to several konbinis. It is also near the hakata station - 5 min walk.
Summary of this review is, please look for a better hotel other than this. The front desk staff only has limited good employees. Cleanliness is questionable and you cannot leave your luggages. They should have said that in their booking page early on. This will only garner you more cost and time to look for a coin...
Read moreI am a solo female traveler and recently stayed at this hotel. I had a terrifying experience that completely ruined my sense of security. One morning at around 9:00 AM, while I was still asleep, someone opened my door without my consent. The door was opened once, and then again a few moments later.
According to hotel policy, cleaning services are only supposed to begin after 10:00 AM. So why was someone attempting to enter my room at 9:00 AM?
I immediately reported the incident to the front desk. However, their response was utterly disappointing. They told me there are no security cameras in the hallway, so they couldn’t verify who tried to enter my room. None of the staff admitted to opening my door, and the hotel refused to offer any compensation or even a sincere apology.
As a woman traveling alone, my safety should be a top priority for any hotel. The fact that there are no cameras in the hallway is unacceptable. What if something more serious had happened? What if there was theft, assault, or worse? How would they investigate if there’s no surveillance?
The hotel’s inability to take responsibility or provide any reassurance is deeply concerning. They showed no empathy and did nothing to address my distress. I felt dismissed and insecure throughout the remainder of my stay.
I strongly advise anyone who values their safety and privacy to avoid this hotel. A place that can’t guarantee basic security or take responsibility when things go wrong does not deserve anyone’s trust...
Read moreI stayed in a semi-double room with my wife at this hotel for 3 nights. As you may expect for a hotel room located in the center of Japanese's big city, the room is small and barely has space to walk or put your luggage down. The bed for the semi-double is just enough to fit two people on. Bathroom is also small but clean. All necessary stuffs such as toothbrush pack, razor, dryer, towels, etc are provided in the room. It also has free wifi available.|As for the location, it is about 5 mins walk from Hakata station and 7-11 is few steps from the hotel. There is a small alley full of restaurants and isakayas across the road as well as a department store, so I think foods and drinks won't be a problem if you choose to stay at this hotel. The hotel staffs are helpful though their English may not be that good. |Overall I give 4 out of 5 scores for its location and convenience for...
