MOS BURGER Hakata Nakasu Store — Restaurant in Fukuoka

I want to give it 3.5 but can't so I'll give them a 4. "Mountain Ocean Sun" burger is one of Japan's most well-known local burger chains and it's pretty good and scrumptious and well worth dropping in. The burgers have a good handful size, and a very fresh and organic taste to them, coming with a nice slice of tomato and meat & mayo sauce as standard. I recommend the double patty spicy cheeseburger with the melted cheese, hmmm that nice crisp initial bite is hard to beat. I don't think the patty itself is that impressive, but the bun and the sauce make up for it. A great burger overall but one niggle for personally is that I really hate that it is so messy to eat- you literally CANNOT eat the damn thing without geting sauce on your neckbeard (and God knows I've tried). And well...if you like having half of what you just paid for drip onto your lap just when you're taking a bite, or at the very least having to suck it all up from the wrapper after then by all means go for it, but for me that's enough reason Ito knock some points off of what is actually a good burger, sadly. Another neg is that the fries are just plain awful, I mean COME ON..sometimes I simply don't get how a chain can be open for what...30+ years and not be able to nail at least the fries? geez. At least the onion rings are amazing. Anyway, one more debbie downer is that the cost for the burger itself is reasonable but the sides are a ridiculous +400yen, so a set with say, the double patty, fries and a Coke will easily cost you over $10 which isn't good when you're as broke as I always am and always will be.

Final verdict. I'd rank MOS higher than Lotte, bit of an extra waiting time but the taste is worth it. Saying that, if you have the choice of this place or Freshness Burger in the same neighbourhood then I'd opt for Freshness Burger for sure, which -although almost identical in taste- pisp it with the better bun and being a cleaner operation...

I ate here twice last month on my last visit to Fukuoka. Once by myself, and the other time with my GF. This MOS Burger location is a little smaller than other locations that I've been to in the past, but they still have ample seating inside. The restaurant is very clean inside, the customer service is excellent, and the workers are very friendly.

If you up size your fries to a large size they give a very big amount, it's hard to eat all of it because it's so big. However, this is an excellent value for the price. The food is served hot and promptly, and it is very delicious just like the other MOS Burger locations that I've...

I got the plant based burger, it was just okay. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce that's offered with it. My fries were also SUPER salty, i couldn't finish half of it 💀🧂

The space is clean and they have a nice washroom. The staff was nice and also offered an English menu right away which was appreciated given there's lots to read through on the menu.

Personally won't give this one another go based...
