We stumbled upon the advertisement of hot chocolate in front of the bar after a visit to the Kiyomizu-dera shrine. We were warmly greeted and sat down at the small bar. The chocolate pieces we got for tasting were of different flavors, some we liked, some weren’t our taste but a great tasting experience nevertheless. After deciding on Chocolate based cocktails we ordered and got our drinks. They were very tasty, each in their own way. The atmosphere was cozy and instantly welcoming. We had liked to come by again but our trip in Kyoto has ended already. If we are in the area again, we will definitiv come back!

Thank you for the perfect end to a great day and keep up...

This bar is the best spot for my stay in Kyoto! I love here so recommend it to anyone who wants delicious cocktails and chocolate.

The bar is filled with countless chocolates from all over the world, as well as original cocktails and cakes. The owner Rie is a culinary genius. She taught me about chocolate in an easy and passionate way. I thought this place was different from others in a good way.

I tried cold chocolate mint, spicy hot chocolate, gâteau chocolat, and some more. Those ware original items made by her. All were excellent.

Sometimes there is a little girls (owner's daughter). She plays quietly.

Thank you so much Rie san! I love your kindness...

Absolutely wonderful! The spiced hot chocolate was awesome - so decadent and yummy. We were feeling indulgent, so we got the 5-chocolate tasting as well, and the owner was so kind and helpful, and designed the chocolate array to our tastes.

The atmosphere was great, too. The owner provides a calm, relaxed atmosphere, and her daughter is so sweet. Plus, it can be hard to find a late-night spot that isn’t so alcohol-centric (though they also serve alcohol, so you’re covered for that too!). But it’s so nice to have a cozy spot to just savor the day with an inadvisable amount of chocolate…although, I do advise it ☺️

Thank you for a...

This is beautiful and cozy chocolaterie where one can have excellent chocolate drinks (including cocktails!) and also do a dégustation with chocolate from around the world. The chocolate drinks were prepared with real chocolate right there in front of us by the owner and we're accompanied by two very tasty sweets: a cookie and a pepper chocolate cake. The chocolates that we tried were all very interesting and tasty, and the shop owner had dozens others that we could try from. She was very kind and pleasant and she helped us pick our chocolates like a true connoisseur! Bonus: the heated floor!

A wonderful and magical place. We came by chance, took a look inside and asked to enter. The owner was very nice and welcomed us with a smile. At first we didn't quite understand the concept, but hey, this is Japan :) The owner served us very tasty cookies, we ordered hot chocolate and a few more drinks. They have also oat milk so for lactose intolerant like myself it was a treat. Everything is delicious, delicate, with distant and magical flavors, the atmosphere was relaxed, pleasant, almost meditative. Not that sweet and that’s a blessing. So very recommended (and kids loved it too).
