Very clean and affordable Ryokan in the heart of Kyoto’s geisha districts. We saw geishas on the streets right outside the inn!
The inn-keeper is extremely pleasant! She was very happy to make a restaurant reservation in Japanese over the phone and had bought us fresh strawberries when we arrived back after a long day of walking to shrines and temples. A very nice human touch that you don’t normally get staying in an inn/hotel.

Communication with the hostess was easy and she was very kind. The guesthouse is located on a cute, traditional alleyway. The guesthouse has a shared fridge but no shared sitting spaces.
