Cafe Yururi — Restaurant in Kyoto

Favorite restaurant in Fushimi area. Ordered the breakfast curry dish and it was amazing. Sent me on a breakfast and lunch curry obsession for the rest of the trip and this was still the best. Small menu, but that doesn't matter because each item on the menu has been carefully perfected. Worth the visit. Originally tried avoiding places near the Inari stop to give places closer to our Airbnb a fair chance, but this place still wins. Wish I had asked for the secret recipe to make this amazing dish. Also came with a drink and some fruit. Cute place, very under-rated. We brought our baby in as well and there was no issue. I ramdomly went in and only knew after the lunch visit that this is a very notable shop to be mentioned on Social Networks because it is very close to the Fushiri-Inari. The hostress was friendly and there was an English menu.

I could see that the shop has acquaintance guests. It's not the shop's problem, but as a foreigner knowing little Japanese, hearing other guests talking and laughing around, I sat in and felt a little exotic and nervous - just a little out-of-place.

The lunch curry was well cooked. A pity I didn't find out how to order a matcha dessert from the menu. But above all, it was a good lunch.

If you are going to Fushimi Inari, you should consider stopping nearby at Cafe Yururi for delicious curry. The shop is unassuming and you may be the only visitor depending when you stop in, but don't let that stop you - the shop owner is incredibly generous and considerate.
