Okudenn — Restaurant in Kyoto

Staying at a nearby AirBnB and attempted to have dinner based on the mostly positive reviews. We arrived about 2 hours before closing and advised the server/receptionist that we had a party of 3. Me and my wife had a great time at Okudenn. We went there for dinner after visiting Inari shrine. We loved how welcome we felt. The owners had a very good level of English and an English menu was available. The food was very good and affordable. Please note that smoking is allowed (there's a very good exhaust fan, I couldn't smell a thing). This place is definitely for locals and has a nice feel of ordinary Japanese life to it. My little brother and I went to this little place because I was craving some Okonomiyaki. The woman behind the bar was kind from the start and helped us out. They had an english menu which was super helpful! The man worked in the kitchen on our food but walked around and talked to us too (albeit in Japanese!).
