Olu Burger Kyoto/Umekoji — Restaurant in Kyoto

This is straight S+ Tier across the board, this place is incredible! For starters, the vanilla shake had a very strong vanilla flavor, very delicious. The beer is one of the best I've had, and I normally don't even like beer. The fries were perfectly cooked and very crispy, but somehow not burned. Speaking from years of experience that is incredibly hard to do. They were also excellently seasoned. Now for the main star, the burger. My brother and I got a bacon burger and bacon cheeseburger. The buns were beautifully toasted, the tomato slices were nice and thick, the bacon was cooked perfectly. But most of all, OMG the patty was absolutely incredible! This is genuinely one of the best meals I've had, this place is consistently perfect across the board. Update: we've been in Kyoto for 4 days, and I've gone here 4 times. No other restaurant on our so far 3-week trip to Japan has had even 3 repeat visits, so Olu Burger having 4 really speaks for itself. One of the best burgers I have ever had😍 If you’re visiting Kyoto looking for good Wagyu burger this is the place. Store is clean, open and very comfy! The staff is nice, there are English menus, kids friendly as well. If you have a stroller? No problem the store is big enough there’s room to park it.

I got ABC burger (avocado, bacon and cheese)+ sunny side up egg as extra topping. THE BEST burger that melts in your mouth. Looks big on pic but it’s so good you gonna eat it no problem.

My partner got double cheese burger with pineapple (yes, I know very controversial but hear me out). If I’m gonna eat savory food with pineapples in it, this burger will be the only one. One of the best burger spots I’ve ever been to. My group ate here 4 times during our 7 day trip to Kyoto and we just couldn’t get enough. The same lady served us each time with a smile and she wrote cute little notes on our last take out bag. We’ve tried several of their delicious burgers and they always exceed our expectations. The buns are nicely toasted, patty perfectly cooked and juicy, and vegetables were tasty and fresh. Our faves were the spicy burger and wagyu burger. Their drinks were also very tasty I got the chocolate milkshake and my friends got their strawberry and melon cream sodas, highly recommend.
