the oysters here are absolutely insane!! they’re so fresh and all for 99¥ each ⁉️⁉️ the chicken skewer with the mentaiko on it was my personal favourite because the chicken is SO SO SO TENDER AND JUICY even though its fried!! if all chicken tasted like this i’d be the buffest person in the gym bc bulking would be so easy!! the fries are crispy and hot so i recommend them as a drinking snack!

no need to worry about ordering as they have an english menu AND a scan to order system - once you’ve scanned the qr code, you can translate the page and order from there! payment can also be made via credit card on the same page or you can pay at the counter.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on our first night in Kyoto, two nights ago. Our initial experience was delightful, with an enjoyable meal.

However, our visit tonight was quite the opposite. The restaurant was busier, and we had to wait outside, which was understandable given the circumstances. But then, without any communication with us, one of the staff allowed other customers to cut in line ahead of us. We assumed this was because the other group consisted of four people, and an available table suited them perfectly, so we let it go.

Sushi Kushi in Kyoto is a fantastic find! Their 99-yen oysters are not only incredibly fresh but surprisingly generous in size – definitely more than we expected at such a great price. Each oyster was plump and briny, an absolute delight for seafood lovers and such amazing value.

The QR code ordering system was a breeze, and the English menu made everything straightforward, so we could focus on enjoying our meal. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which added to the warm, lively atmosphere. Highly recommend booking ahead, as this place is popular for a reason.
