5/5 There it is! I found the best ramen place in Kyoto (so far). Before I even talk about the food, I'd like so say the place and atmosphere are incredibly authentic and wholesome. Even when I like a lot of ramen places, I'm started to get tired of young employees that treat me coldly and condescendingly in other places, but this restaurant has some of the nicest employees I've been to. They ask where I'm from and made sure everything is good. You also get a complementary drink after you finished your meal, a nice ice tea or another selection.
As for the ramen itself, I'm highly biased towards thick broth that attacks your senses and fill yourself to the brim, and this delivered. Read moreThe best Ramen I have tried so far in my 3 weeks of being in Japan! I have had many bowls of ramen in my stay so far, yet this one was so unique and so flavourful, especially in the thickness of the broth.
The service was impeccable, even though my Japanese is really bad, the staff were very helpful. They also gave out free glasses of iced tea to go along with the meal which was very kind of them.
The restaurant had some nice music playing, and the interior was very relaxing and inviting. Ordering was also very simple with their ticket vending machine.
Will definitely go here again, whether it be in this trip, or the next time I...
Read moreI’ve been to Japan twice now and can safely say this is the best ramen I’ve ever had and my most memorable Japanese food and restaurant experience! Although the price is on the more expensive end (for ramen) it is very worth it - good quality noodles (finally not the packet instant noodles most places use), very generous toppings and the most delicious and unique broth ever, it’s probably closer to a curry/gravy ramen but still AMAZING. The staff were also very lovely and I love restaurant set ups where I can watch the chef cook in front of me. I will be telling any friends going to Kyoto in the future...
