Ts Garden Bar — Restaurant in Kyoto

Delicious food, friendly staff, great prices!

My wife and I are visiting Kyoko and had a lot of things on our itinerary. After a long.. long day of seeing as much as we could in Kyoko, we were so tired! When looking for places to eat dinner, everywhere we tried was either too busy, reservations only, or closed! (Even if Google said they were open) Defeated, we returned to our hotel (IL Verde) and I told my wife to go take a bath while I go to the Family Mart for a bento box. On my way, I stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant, and it was empty at almost 8 pm! The menu looked good, so I asked them if they did take away. They do! So I made my order and started chatting with the bartender who offered me water while I waited. He was a very nice guy who spoke English very well. He even started talking about American football with me (which was very surprising), and he even knew the name of my home team's quarterback! After returning to the hotel, my wife and I were very happy with the food. Very delicious and generous portions for the price! Couldn't be happier with this...

Great place, the staff were very friendly, spoke English and the food was really nice. We got the Hamburg, we thought it would be a hamburger but it was more like a deconstructed mince paddy with some condiments on the side with rice (normally comes with miso soup but we got it without) it was very delicious. There is an English menu. The staff is very nice and also speaks some English. We had a tonkatsu and cheese hambagu menu, plus the fried white fish. It was all very tasty and the price was more than reasonable. If we are ever here again, we will...
