I recently had the pleasure of dining at Matsunoya Nansandori, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. This charming restaurant specializes in tonkatsu while also offering a delectable selection of other dishes. Read moreThis is a self serve tonkatsu chain that's open 24hrs and is a good place to have a meal especially at odd hours or if you want a hearty meal in the morning (most dine in restaurants will have a breakfast menu of just sandwiches or breads).
Tonkatsu itself is of good thickness and tender. There is a wide variety of sauces available on the table and Japanese mustard packs are also available if you want to add spice more that the usual togarashi.
There is a ticket machine (English option available) that acceps cash and some cashless options. Credit cards don't seem to be accepted.
After ordering, your order numberwill be shown on the screen. You can pick up your order at the counter and you are supposed to return your plate and tray back to the counter after eating.
