A Rare Find in Japan: Clam-Based Ramen That’s Simply Outstanding

Probably the best ‘hidden’ ramen place in Osaka. The soup is made with the umami of clams, and topped with probably the most tender and perfectly cooked slices of meat. The restaurant also has a beautiful interior, and even though they have an open kitchen concept (like most ramen places), you don’t have to worry about smoke or any lingering smell on your clothes as the place is extremely clean. Stumbled upon this on a very hot afternoon. Wasn’t expecting much but we were hungry and they had air conditioning so we went in. This was a a very pleasant surprise! We had a delicious clam ramen lunch with side orders of seasoned clam rice and clam gyozas. Everything was flavourful, the broth was rich with a balanced umami and the noodles were perfection! By far better than anything you’d be able to find in the Dotonburi tourist trap!
