Cocoro Yakiniku — Restaurant in Osaka

The best meal we had in Osaka! 😍 What is a Japan trip without having yakiniku? Google provided us with good reviews for this place and we came for dinner. We sat at the counter and got beer and highball while browsing the menu.

We ordered several plates of meat and every bite was sumptuous! I don't remember the cuts of the meat anymore but all of them were tasty, juicy and tender - one of the best meats I have had in my life. We ordered several plates of meat, refilled our drinks 4x and spent almost $100 for a meal for two but it was worth it! We also tried their "nemen" (cold noodles) and it was surprisingly good!

Service was friendly and fast. Most of the staff are young and they are very welcoming to foreigners. Our server even pulled up a translation app to explain the menu and make sure we got everything we needed. Don't miss this place when...

TOP RESTAURANT! Atmosphere: Amazing! You can smoke/vape, don’t worrry, it’s soo ventilated that you will not smell any cigarette or whatsoever. Small place but lively.

Staff: Was intimidated at first as they don’t really speak english but the language barrier was not a problem as they were willing to put on google translate to help communicate. A For Effort! EXTREMELY PATIENT! So please do the same!

Things to take note (as for my experience): Reservations at your own risk. We were lucky we came without one, waited no longer than 4mins. You will have to order a beverage. Came without reservation, and got lucky with a table. The restaurant is quite small, which made the atmosphere very cozy and intimate. The waiters couldn't speak much English, but they had English menu. They were very friendly, even held up a " thank you" sign at the door when we left. The beef was one of the best of all the places we went in Japan, and the price was not expensive either. The coal burning grill added a lot of flavor to the meat.
