Tsukemen is never my favourite ( perhaps I didn’t have good experience in HK😅) but my friend insisted that first food landed Osaka must be Tsukemen. We were so hungry and intended to find one close to hotel despite its ratings not so high. When my eyes spot the menu of shrimp tsukemen, there was no other thoughts! The shrimp soup was so good, and the ramen texture was just right for me. ( actually they will ask u whether u want soft or harder texture ). I used to think the tsukemen soup was too oily to drink, can be just for dipping, but surprisingly that shrimp soup was soooo yummy 😋😋😋 . And the topping food like minced pork, egg and seaweed were enough for a girl’s portion. Overall this is the best taukemen I have ever had, the shrimp soup was definitely a plus! I have cleared the noodles and soup! 🥰
We were glad that we were unable to go to the popular restaurant due to day off, so we could discover this hidden gem. It is definitely worth higher rating, at least the shrimp tsukemen worth your visit...
Read moreI’ve been frequenting this small ramen shop since I first came to Osaka, Japan in 2015. It still is hands down the best place to get a tsukemen worldwide. I’ve tried multiple excellent places in Tokyo, Fukuoka, and even in Taiwan and the Philippines, but none come close to Kibunya.
Place is usually not full and you’d only be dining with mostly Japanese locals, which is always a good sign of good food in terms of Asian taste standards.
I come from the Philippines so I’m more into food with a stronger flavor… if you are into that too, then this is surely going to satisfy your taste buds.
The tsukemen has a yuzu taste to it, so none of the fish-based broth taste.
English menu is available and the staff can speak a moderately acceptable level of English. Pointing to the menu...
Read moreSuper Wow wow wow! It's 4.1 out of 5 stars in google search but def. 5/5 for the their Tsukemen for me!! The flavor and texture just rolls over the tongue in layers and layers of eye rolling, OMG-inducing goodness! Waiting in line outside the store was totally worth it. It's like I died and gone to Tsukemen-Ramen heaven! The ramen is just as great! Not too salty (as compared to most ramen houses) but well seasoned, packed with creamy, collagen-y and thick meaty flavor. Ugggh!! Soooo great! If you ever visit Osaka, i admonish you to visit #kibunyadotonbori #キブニヤ...
