The Cosmopolitan Grill Bar Terrace — Restaurant in Osaka

Food:

The food was delicious seasoned well, plated well, and contemporary. I really enjoyed the menu set, and it was all well executed. We got the signature menu. The biggest issue is, there is a sea of restaurants that make delicious, well seasoned, well cooked and contemporary food. Several within 15 minutes of this spot. This place could do with a pizzaz or surprise to get the food to that next level. All in I would eat here again, it was delicious and fitted it's price tag, but nothing makes it stand out.

Drinks: Order on menu. This isn't a suggestion, I'm not sure if the bartenders are bartenders or are waiters/cooks trained to make the specific menu drinks. I got an old fashioned and I have had several across Asia, Europe, and North America and none quite as off as this one. It was mostly a muddled mess of different citruses crammed into a glass with the bourbon and a maraschino cherry on a skewer. It was a "hot mess" that tasted as confused as it appeared. The Singapore sling however was great. I suggest that.

Staff: attentive, kind, and very helpful. I think they did a stellar job of taking orders, clearing plates and keeping the meal on track.

Atmosphere: on the 9th floor of a shopping mall it has views of downtown buildings as the back drop to floor to ceiling windows, it's a pretty good view, the tabling and seating matched the ambiance of the venue, and the window into the kitchen was a fun touch.

Good food. Not busy. Drinks are expensive and doesn't worth (White wine & Apple Juice). Food is very nice. If you want to go for taste, you should go for it. But some improvements points to say:

One male waiter was quite noisy and doesn't match with the atmosphere of the restaurant. He sounds to be the boss of waiters but didn't act as one. Maybe his voice would fit better in an Izakaya. (date 2024 Feb 14th). Other waiters have provided a very good service.

Also I have to highlight that some actions/details were done trying to act like a high-class restaurant but were actually wrong: Chair helper Place of cuttlery Glass type by liquid type Menu throws and slides on the table by the above male waiter (I kept calm down for other guests, but that's really rude). That's all I remember posting a few months later. All these failed details upseted me when checking at the price I pad (13000 JPY for 2 people for 2...

美しく澄んだスープは、口に含むと奥深い旨みが広がり、上品な余韻を残します。 合鴨胸肉は驚くほど柔らかく、臭みが一切なく、噛むほどにお肉の旨みがしっかりと感じられます。 ホワイトアスパラガスは丁寧に煮込まれ、繊細な甘みと食感が絶妙。 さらに赤肉メロンが加わることで、フルーティーなアクセントがスープと見事に調和し、意外性のある美味しさを生み出していました。 一口ごとに感動を覚える一皿です✨

■SEAFOOD ・本日の季節鮮魚　北海道産ホタテ 京都産タケノコ　ブロッコリーとホタルイカのアヒージョ

鮮魚は今回ノルウェー産のサーモン。 低温調理されており、しっとりとなめらかな口当たり。素材の良さを引き立てるシンプルな仕上がりで、ホタルイカのアヒージョソースと組み合わせることで、さらに深みのある味わいを楽しめました。 京都産のタケノコはグリルされていて、柔らかさの中に香ばしさが感じられ、噛むたびに風味が広がる仕上がり。北海道産のホタテは鉄板焼きでふっくらと焼き上げられ、甘みと旨みが存分に引き出されていて絶品でした。

ランプステーキとミスジを半分半分頂きました。 どちらも申し分のない美味しさで、感動。 付け合わせのグリーンオリーブタプナードと合わせると、ほどよい塩気とコクが加わり、お酒が進む絶妙な組み合わせに。 春キャベツと新じゃが芋のキャセロールは、クリーミーでまろやかな味わいながら、食感はサクサクとしていて、とても美味しい仕上がり。セルバチコもただの葉物ではなく、料理との相性が抜群で、一口ごとにその存在感をしっかり感じられました。
