The unagi rice I had at 萬葉亭銀座 蘭 -ran- was exceptional, offering a memorable dining experience. The eel was perfectly grilled, boasting a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a slightly crisp, caramelized exterior. The tare sauce was well-balanced—not overly sweet—allowing the natural flavors of the unagi to shine. Introducing 4 exciting ways to enjoy the dish

The rice was impeccably cooked, fluffy yet firm, and absorbed the sauce beautifully, creating a harmonious bite every time. The accompanying sides, including the soup and pickled vegetables, complemented the richness of the eel, providing a refreshing contrast.

Dining at 萬葉亭銀座 蘭 -ran- felt special, thanks to the meticulous presentation and warm ambiance. This meal truly elevated the classic unagi rice set to a new level of refinement. If you’re in Ginza, it’s a must-visit spot for lovers of high-quality...

Stumbled upon this place by chance, and it turned out to be a gem. This stylish modern-Japanese restaurant specializes in unagi and offers an incredible lunch set that’s both high in quality and great value. The set is designed to be enjoyed in four stages—first on its own, then with wasabi, green onion, and seaweed; third with a rich raw egg yolk; and finally as ochazuke with hot broth. Each style brings out a different, delicious aspect of the dish. The interior is serene and elegant, making it a great escape from the bustle of Ginza. While English isn’t widely spoken, the staff go out of their way to accommodate. Overall, a flavorful and satisfying experience—perfect for a quiet weekday lunch.

This was our last meal in our week in Tokyo and this place was an absolute gem.

There was no wait at all for peak lunch hours and location was so close to Tsukiji market. This restaurant served the best unagi I have had. The service was great and server was able to explain how to eat hitsumabushi the proper way. The food came out quick and accompanied with several side dishes including grilled unagi, chopped leek, wasabi, egg and with side of soup. The server checked offered free refills of tea and dashi and was incredibly kind and respectful. The portions were very filling and very affordable price. This was our favorite meal after 6 days in Tokyo even after trying many other viral restaurants in the city. Would recommend over and over again to...
