The service here is really the WORST I’ve experienced in a Japanese local chain hotel. The front desk staff are just like robots and the night time staff is even worse. Totally cold and not helpful.
The weather is well over 33 degrees every day in Tokyo these days and they set their rooms to 20 degrees as the lowest temperature setting. I asked if they could lower it as I’m pregnant and the heat has been unbearable and I could not sleep at all and was told bluntly by one of the older night staff NO. Super unhelpful and unsympathetic attitude. I asked the afternoon shift staff the next day and was told they did not even have a portable fan for the room and to just turn on the dehumidifier… Service is A JOKE HERE!
The rooms are still pretty new because the hotel is only about a year old. However, the room carpets are extremely dusty and dirty. To be honest the location is still quite a bit of a walk from the main Ginza area and when the weather is hot to rainy, it’s really quite brutal. The room size is alright, enough for 2 smaller sized people. Bed is quite hard but sheets are soft. The noise level from the street and nearby highway can also pose an issue if you’re a light sleeper. Overall for a hotel that is no less than 300 USD a night, I think you have better choices elsewhere and maybe even within the vicinity.
They do provide small enclosed rooms for self laundry and self ironing but since they sell bottled water in the lobby they don’t have a self service water station within the waiting area of the lobby where they sell some snacks and drinks so I’m not too sure why they did not install a water station so guests can get filtered water.
Overall I think the hotel should really work on training their robotic and bad attitude staff at the front desk. You wouldn’t think this is much of an issue UNTIL you stay here and actually need their help with some...
Read moreBrand new hotel close enough to the buzzing of Ginza and few hundred meters from underground train. Although the location is not bad, but it’s not the best. We stayed 3 nights from July 5-8, 2024 as family of 3 (with nine y/o daughter). We also stayed in Royal Park in Osaka in the same trip. Their WiFi passwords are the same at both location.
The lobby is in the second floor. The reception staffs are very cold and not welcoming. We had to check-in twice which I don’t understand why it was inefficient. The staff has no smiles and very business stiffness manners. Despite that, they did notice there are 3 of us and in the room there’s only 2 towels, the staff immediately provided us with another set on the spot. Feels a bit like a hostels style but we were grateful.
Our room is on the 4th floor, pink color theme so my girls love it. Small room but just enough with comfy bed. If you come with big luggage, you will need to organized your cloths in the closet and put away the luggage.
The public bath is free in the basement. It’s new but on the small side. The day I went, the water was not hot enough. Still good to relax a bit.
We didn’t eat in the hotel but there is a restaurant that opens quite late on the ground floor. Lobby also has nice sitting area where you can chill out away from the room.
Airport bus stop is across the street at Marriott. So this is very convenient but Royal Park staffs would not know anything about it. Overall it was a...
Read moreThis hotel seems relatively new, but it’s really well designed.
Stayed here for 5 nights, the price was reasonable for a hotel of this standard. There’s a main road area where your ride can pick up or drop off, and it’s also near a few train stations.
The main lobby has a spacious common area, perfect for working or hanging out for abit.
The rooms were spacious, enough to keep 2 large and 1 small luggages open, a Bay Area window for work or makeup with foldable mirror. The blackout curtains works well, and an air purifier and humidifier in the room. Bed was soft and comfy, the pyjamas provided were also good quality.
There’s a public bath in the basement and a coin laundry room where the status can be monitored on your tv screen, which is really smart!
They provide basic amenities of shampoo conditioner and body soap from Mikimoto (smells good) and toothbrushes & toothpaste with hairdryer.
My only gripe was when I checked in, I specifically asked for 2 hours late check out and they informed me I had to pay extra for late checkout - which I was fine with. However, the night before I called front desk to confirm it they told me it was not possible as they had full bookings. I understand this, then in the first place they shouldn’t have “agreed” on the late check out. Staff on that shift that day did not speak English well, so it was a trying back and forth conversation.
Other than that,...
