BISTRO KOUZO — Restaurant in Tokyo

今回外国出身の知人グループで利用させていただいたところ、田口という名札を付けた店員さんに不親切な対応をされて残念な気持ちになりました。 具体的には主なもので以下のような出来事がありました。(以下のやり取りは幹事である外国出身の知人が担当していました)

・料理を机に乱暴に置く ・まだ空いていないスパークリングワインを片付けていることを指摘すると無言で机にドンと返される ・ラストオーダーの案内がない ・写真をお願いしても「今忙しいから後にして」と敬意を感じられない応対をされる

私など日本人と応対する際は同一の店員さんに親切な対応をしていただいたところを鑑みると、おそらく国籍で判断して対応を変えていたのではと邪推してしまいます。

I was disappointed by the unfriendly treatment I received when I used this service with a group of acquaintances from a foreign country. The following are some of the main incidents that took place. (The following communication was handled by the secretary, an acquaintance from a foreign country.)

Putting the food on the table roughly. When I pointed out that I was putting away sparkling wine that was not yet empty, it was silently donned back on the desk. No last order notice. When I asked for a photo, I was treated with a lack of respect by the waiter who said, "I'm busy right now, so you'll have to wait until later.

Considering the fact that the same waiter was kind to me and other Japanese customers, I have an evil supposition that they were probably judging us by our nationality and changing the way they treated us.

We had a nomikai with colleagues. 6000¥ per person for food and drinks. The anti pasti and beef were particularly good. They kept reminding us about the closing time (i.e time to leave), which is kind of common in Japan restaurants but I guess I never get used to it.
