This is going to be long. Sorry.
I honestly never like to leave a bad review. I think this is the first 1 star reviewing I’m writing… but I feel like something just has to be said about this. I’ve encountered this unjustified downright rude service for no particular reason a few times now. And today was the first time I lost my temper with it. Bit of context, I look Asian (maybe Japanese to many) but I’m not Japanese. I’m actually British. My Japanese is not that good. Went up to the counter. Young female staff served me. She asked if I was dining in, she asked this in Japanese (店内で?) I understood this and replied “yes” in Japanese. She then asked me something I couldn’t understand in Japanese. No problem. I just said to her, politely and with a smile at first, “すいません、日本語わかない” (sorry, I don’t know Japanese). She looked annoyed. She sighed and rolled her eyes. And mumbled something to me. I couldn’t understand. I leant in and said “sorry?” asking her to repeat. She said in an annoyed tone “DID YOU KEEP TABLE!?” Now I do feel bad for the way I reacted because I said to her “you have an attitude, don’t talk to me like that!” while motioning at her. I shouldn’t have, but I expect some courtesy when being served especially here in Japan. I don’t expect exceptional service, not at all! Not at Cinnabon. But the service here is ridiculous. I worked in the service industry in the uk. Treating all customers with a smile and basic courtesy was a must at all times. Even if I was having a bad day. Maybe it’s just this generation. I’ve seen it more and more lately. It’s not that hard to talk to someone you don’t know with the basic level of respect. I think they think acting like that looks cool. Newsflash, acting arrogant and rude does not make you look cool. It just makes you rude and unattractive. To that girl serving me, my advice. Treat people with the common level of courtesy and you’ll garner more respect. You might enjoy your job more too. Maybe she didn’t want to speak English. She might have felt self-conscious about her English ability. It doesn’t matter. I apologised for my bad Japanese too. Who cares? Rant over. Sorry.
The food is fine....
Read moreSo happy whenever we stop by and having the best cinnamon rolls here, Cinnabon is a slice of heaven for cinnamon roll lovers! Located conveniently in Roppongi area, this place is perfect for grabbing a sweet treat while exploring the city. The Classic Roll is everything you could want in a cinnamon roll—warm, gooey, and absolutely delicious. The dough is soft and fluffy, and the cinnamon filling is perfectly spiced and generously applied. The cream cheese frosting is the star of the show: rich, creamy, and not overly sweet, it melts beautifully over the warm roll. I also tried the Coffee, which adds a delightful rich and extra sweetness with my cinnnamon rolls. It’s a great twist on the original if you’re looking for something a bit more indulgent. The MiniBons are a great option if you want something smaller or if you’re looking to share. They have the same delicious flavor as the full-sized rolls but in a more manageable size, perfect bite size. Love it! The staff at this location are friendly and efficient, and the service is quick even during busy times. Prices are affordable and the quality and taste make it worth every penny. Cinnabon is the perfect spot for a sweet pick-me-up that hits all the right...
Read moreMy American friends kept telling me about this place that had "the best cinnamon rolls ever" and I finally got to try them for myself. I saved my breakfast just to enjoy these cinnamon rolls more and I have to admit: I was not disappointed! There were only 4 flavours on the menu: classic, pecan-caramel, chocolate, mocha, and we shared one of each. They were all very tasty, and lavishly topped with cream. It's hard to choose but I'd say my personal favourite was either the classic or the pecan one, although the chocolate and mocha mini-bons were a nice change of flavour ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ We went to the shop in Ueno because that seemed like the only one in Tokyo where you could eat-in American style. Not many people there so I felt like we had all the space we needed to relax and enjoy each cinnamon roll one-by-one without having to worry about anything ☺️ Recommend for...
