Cois Espresso Club Shinjuku Gyoemmae — Restaurant in Tokyo

More of an instagram hype more than anything . Extremely overpriced tiny coffees .the coffee place is in a narrow street its tiny not much sitting . There is a few sitting inside and some outside . Outside in winter is FREEZING COLD , so its quite uncomfortable and there is zero heater outside.the sits are tiny too . Dont go there if you want to chill and relax . People go there for their photo op mainly . Ibe aware its CASH ONLY which is beyond inconvinient especially when u r paying 30$ for 2 tiny expresso and cake. Again the portion are SMALL . The brulee cheesecake is good .the brule drink is mainly ice however .the place get packed fast .was super disappointed . Also the jazz music was nice and relaxing the place itself isnt so they pack people like crazy .while the wall has english writing for the " ambiance" the staff doesnt speak english but you can easily point out the pictures of what you want . I wouldnt recommend anyone to go out of their way to try this coffee place tons of way better cafe and restaurents around within few minutes walk .on that price range its a "tourist / instagrammer trap" . Japan offer many better coffee...

Do not go if you do not want to be mad. Super bad double standards. The seats arrangements and service were so so so so so bad. There were no notice outside the shop that seats were arrange by staff and no one guiding to your seats (so naturally you would have thought it is free seating). The only space available was the standing table so me and my companion stood there. Later there was an empty seats so we move over but we got told for moving seats????? Like excuse you, we were too lazy to argue so we just stood there. However, later another group were able to move seats because 1 of the party had no seat and the staff allowed. This was super double standard. Of course your customers would prefer sitting down than standing up. Who says the table is for 2 pax also, it also look more like a table where people take the tissue and all because it is placed there. Saw another comment about seating arrangement as well but still nothing...

Indulgence at its finest! This Basque cheesecake was an absolute dream—rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of vanilla.

Paired with a comforting latte au lait, the experience was elevated even further. The creamy, well-balanced coffee complemented the cheesecake wonderfully, creating a harmonious blend of bold and delicate flavors.

Hats off to the pastry chef for crafting such a divine dessert! If you’re a fan of creamy, decadent treats with a touch of sophistication, this Basque cheesecake is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming...
