THE SMOKIST COFFEE Shinjukugyoenmae Shop — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is the 4th branch shop of “THE SMOKIST COFFEE”, not a Caffe Veloce as it used to be. A new concept café chain under Veloce franchise, “a coffee and light meal place for smokers”. So, the entire café is “free-smoking”, not smoke-free, in fact, an ashtray is automatically served when you make a first order at the counter.

The place is equipped with a specially-made powerful air purifier, and its website says “customers (i.e. smokers) say they sense no hint of smell nor feel smoky inside”… While I do like such new concepts, appreciate their marketing challenge and I usually don’t care about secondary smoking or cigarette smell much, sorry, this place is actually a bit smelly and my eyes catch a little smoky irritation after half an hour in the café.

Besides, the basic coffee prices are, again, a bit higher than Veloce even though almost everything other than the ashtray (and mug) service seems the same as its brother shops. I’ve got to say that I would avoid these The Smokiest Coffee shops when having a cup next time. The service of staff and coffee are...

Smoking inside was very good. The taste of smoke was very nice. Vaping is so tasty here. The atmosphere inside was a bit cloudy but it is what we wanted. Service for terea to lung was very calming. Come here and eat your cigar. First, last, and only place in Japan that to smoke. SMOKE VAPE EVERYDAY. Why can't i smoke in the open...

Our local cafe whilst on holiday, nice to have a drink and a cigarette before starting our day.

Venue is clean, only potential issue I see for people is the solo toilet for both genders. Wasn't an issue for me but might be for some potential people.
