We are from India and were homesick for some Indian vegetarian food. Our hosts took us to this Indian restaurant. It is cosy and decorated with Indian paintings and artifacts. The food was authentic and tasty. There were South Indian as well as North Indian dishes, such as Medu Wada etc., and Chana Bhatura, etc., respectively. The manager and the staff were friendly and polite. We could see many locals also enjoying the food. We were thrilled to see a Sumo wrestler eating here. He was kind enough to let us click him with us( Photo attached). The plus point of this place is that it is located in the Ginza, an extremely popular tourist area. So it is most convenient for tourists wanting to try some Indian food. All-in-all, a definitely good place to visit for delicious and authentic...

We’ve been enjoying Japanese cuisine for the past seven days, and today I decided to try something different and ordered Indian food from this restaurant. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a total disappointment.

We ordered chapathi, parotta, mutton curry, rice, and mango lassi. What they served as “chapathi” was actually more like a roti — not what we expected. The mutton curry tasted more like pav bhaji gravy with pieces of mutton thrown in, which was very odd. The mango lassi also had a strange taste, and I honestly couldn’t tell if they even used real yogurt to make it.

This was neither authentic Indian food nor a fusion of Indian and Japanese. If this is their interpretation of Indian cuisine, it’s quite misleading. Japanese diners deserve much better Indian...

I went because I heard some good comments from local colleagues while visiting from the US. The food was a total disappointment. The menu is not very diverse. The chicken dish I ordered was mediocre. Bread (chapati) was not very good. I ordered a dessert- carrot halwa- which came in an unexpected way as a cake piece almost. The taste and consistency seemed all wrong. After one bite I gave up on that piece but the waiter left it on the bill anyway.

My advice after visiting two Indian restaurants this week in ginza - stay away! Go for some of the other local excellent choices. Even the fast food CoCo chain has better curry rice than these...

I’ve been waiting to try because I always see a que/line! Lines in Japan usually mean whatever they have it worth waiting for. This establishment has been open since 1949 too! I decided to go for lunch today to try their famous Lunch Murgi chicken special for 1600y. It’s a chicken thigh, curry, tumeric flavored rice with mashed potatoes and cabbage. The dish comes out and the waiter debones the chicken at the table for you. The chicken is so tender, it just falls off the bones. He said to mix everything together and enjoy. The flavors were great and it had a nice spice to it. Cute spot to visit if you are craving some Indian food!

I have visited this restaurant with one of my friends.. We got seating in 2nd floor.. This is like small but had good ambience. We ordered one famous Murgi lunch and another one is chicken fried rice. The Murgi lunch was quite good.. but chicken fried rice was not at all tasted good.. I really couldn’t eat that because they have used Japanese rice for fried rice and it literally looks like turmeric rice. And Murgi lunch curry was also not tasted like authentic Indian curry.. it’s altered for Japanese taste.. which we can get same curry in Coco curry house and Sukiya. Not recommended any other lunch set except Murgi lunch.

One of the famous Curry restaurants in Japan! Wanted to visit here since I’ve tried packed one at the supermarket. I love Kerala food and Kerala so I expected a lot. We ordered signature murgi rice (sorry for missing a pic), murgi masala, and papadi. It was super tasty and curry wasn’t too spicy but spicy enough:) This is just my opinion. I think murgi rice seems adjusted to Japanese little. A la carte menu are more authentic Kerala taste. I want to try different menu next time for sure. The fact restaurant is clean, and interior is so pretty (reminds me of Good Earth)!
