Hyakusai Hyakumi Ginza — Restaurant in Tokyo

We stumbled upon this Chinese restaurant because the original place we wanted was full at 5:30. This looked good and was just a couple floors down. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and there was no host so we had to call out for assistance. Once seated, we had to order on our phones, which was fine except the English translations weren't great and sometimes the numbers and descriptions didn't match the printed menu. Some food came fast but some was slow. The food was quite tasty but portions seemed a little small. They provided glasses of water but it was 30 minutes later when they brought a carafe so we could refill our water. Anytime we needed something we had to call out for assistance and it wasn't until 6:30 that a second table came for food. I know this is a business district so people tend to eat later, but it was oddly empty. It also turned out a little expensive at 8600¥ so about $60 for three people and slightly small portions. That price is okay for good food in Ginza, but the lackluster service is unfortunate. I will probably not return as I'm sure I could find a cheaper or better Chinese restaurant...

The food tastes good.

However be aware that the pricing on the menue for dinner hotpot course is not clear to us. The price did not indicate it is pre person as we thought the whole course cost as indicated on the menue. We would like more clarity on the menue. If we know that each person would cost ¥5000 with a total of ¥10,000 for 2 person (minimum order), we would've order less food as both of us are not very hungry.

Make sure to ask the server more question about pricing while traveling in Japan. At least that's the lesson we learn

We left with a satisfying stomach but having bad feelings about what we have paid. I believe both us and the restaurant would not want to have this situation happen agian.

Found this Sichuan style restaurant in Ginza. Quite difficult to locate given its not in main Ginza lanes but back lane. The place didnt need reservations so its good and last order until 8:30. Food was taste wise good but proportion was very bad. Each dish like chillinpepper chicken or prawns which are main dish costed around ~1800-2000 however they all had hardly 2-3 piece of the meat/prawn. Everything else is scam and is wither lotus shoot or corn which is not mentioned in menu card. Dandan noodles are quite average and a bit Japanese not...
