I went late at night and they were still open. This place has AMAZING vibes, and being right by the water makes it a perfect place to rest and enjoy the scenery. I had this wonderful hot apple cider, with real fruit, that I need the recipe to. I wanted to come back but got sick, and didn't want to bring it in the shop. They even had blankets if you wanted to sit outside. Had a lovely conversation with the proprietors and they showed me how they make old fashioned coffee. Will definitely be going back when I'm back in country. I don't know if there hours match their website, but if the sign is out you can at...

ここは隅田川のほとり、かつては大川端とも言われた。 そしてこの辺りの柳橋は都内でもトップクラスの花街であった。 隅田川沿いには多くの料亭が並び三味線の音が鳴り響いた。 政治の舞台にもなった。田中角栄率いる田中派の旗揚げはここ柳橋の有名な料亭であった。 時は移り今その面影はない。 そんな中一か所昔をしのばせる建物が目に付く。 この建物は芸者で歌手の市丸の住まいであったところ。 その建物が今ギャラリーとカフェになっている。 門をくぐるとそこはまさに昭和のたたずまい。 昭和にタイムスリップした感じになる。 中もほぼ当時のままになっているという。 二階がカフェになっている。 一階で注文して二階の席で待つ。 外のテラスに出た。隅田川が見渡せる。 暑いが景色を見たかったので。 注文したホットカフェオレが運ばれてきた。 カップも趣のある器であった。 ちょっとだけでも昭和の雰囲気を感じることができた。 一階はギャラリーで、この日は陶器が展示されていいた。
