Masala Station — Restaurant in Tokyo

About 40 seats in a somewhat narrow layout, but the aisle is wide enough. Indian music and decorations. Seems like a fairly standard menu, though I added the 100 yen drink a bit later. There is a wall poster for a fancy naan, but perhaps not at lunch. I wonder why it's a 24-hour place. I did come through a tough neighborhood en route. No Wi-Fi or charging.

It was a very good curry, though I'm not sure it was what I ordered. Not the curry of the day as I thought I heard it? Maybe the waiter was tired coming off a big morning rush? Or girding his loins for a big lunch rush? Spice levels fixed by the curry karma and this was pretty strong. The naan was unusually sweet, but quite tasty. Salad pretty average, so I'm going to call it just a flat four stars overall.

Based on the over-the-register discussion with the Nepali waiter, I decided to raise it to a strong four stars. For the history? First restaurant I have ever walked out of in my entire life. When I entered, I was ignored for the first five minutes. Someone walked in AFTER me and was seated BEFORE me. Took the guy another 3 minutes to come back and seat me. I spent another 15 minutes sitting at my table waiting for the guy to acknowledge my existence as he proceeded to walk back and forth past my table repeatedly without so much as dropping a glass of water. After another five minutes, the guy who had walked in AFTER ME already had his food. I continued to sit there waiting. He ignored me for another five minutes and then I walked out. It was a great experience despite coming in quite late around 10pm. Their staff welcomed us nicely and even suggested something to work to our taste buds seeing how we were aiming for spicy food as we always hunting for awesome spicy food.

When the food came, the proportion turn out better than what was shown on the photo, which was great! ‘hinting all those fast food shops where their burgers always looks huge but when served, it’s a tiny little burger portion’.
