Probably should be one star. Not exactly sure where my chef was 80% of the time ... Paid about $190 only to realize that the menu ON GOOGLE MAPS was cheaper than what was stated on the actual menu (~$80+ difference). Will concede that I can't read Japanese so maybe I'm wrong but the cheapest Google maps menu item is ~10,000¥ as opposed to the ~18,000¥ in person. Was definitely thrown off by the bill given that I somehow racked up 21,000¥+ off of one steak, a quarter of an eggplant, a wedge of sweet potato and two wedges of normal potato. It was also very clear that they assigned someone new to my table (being a tourist/foreienger myself) as I often saw the supervising/head chef looking at my chef while she cooked for me. I'm currently typing this review as we're going on 10 minutes of limbo (zero food cooked or served while my chef is nowhere to be seen)... The food itself isn't bad by any means, but 1) service is subpar at best, and 2) the price is at odds with the quality given that you're in Ginza of all places where (overall) the food is stellar and the sushi is phenomenal. That said, I really don't think it is my cook's fault as I can tell that she was always deferring to someone more senior in the restaurant. The only reason why I'm giving it two star is because my chef was kind (when she was ever around – 1 star) and the cherry sorbet at the end of the meal was to die for as it was 100% natural-flavored and almost had hints of peach as an aftertaste (for real, if you could order the sorbet on its own, you 100% should). Hell, this 2-star review probably deserves all of it's two stars based on the sorbet alone (literally changing my mind from one to two stars as I'm 40% done with the sorbet HAHA) – wish the actual teppanyaki was half as good as this sorbet.

I wanted eat teppanyaki in Japan. Googled and found a couple places. Super famous restaurants were of course already fully booked. So I decided to try here. The restaurant looked a little old BUT service was great and the chef who cooked our foods was fantastic. She knew what she was cooking. Explained where those veggies and meats were coming from, how she was preparing. I asked a couple questions about how to cook on griddle since I just got a stove has griddle in my kitchen and wanted to know how to cook. She explained so well. And food were fantastic and price was pretty good too. Thank you so much for having us. It was one of the best food we ate in Japan!

4/5 food, rushed through if I’m honest (3/5 total). However, when the bill comes be prepared for 20% charges (tax and service) on top, even though service was never charged on us anywhere in the rest of Japan (3 weeks, 5 cities). Tax on top was levied in some places but the vast minority (and they show after tax price in addition where applicable). €450 for two with a bottle of wine is excessive where you think it’s €370. Leaves a bitter taste
