We have been staying in Ikebukuro for the last 3 weeks and this bakery is across the street from our hotel. The lady that runs it is an absolute beautiful soul of a human .The baked goods on offer are some of the best foods we have had in Japan. The store and service is like a warm hug. We have even stopped going to conbini's and just only been going to her for our snacks it's that good. The store opens early and closes close to midnight with the same lady behind the counter always there with a wonderful smile . Our new favourite bakery in Tokyo . We love you see you for...

One of the bakeries, established in 1951, used to operate till 2 am but now closes at midnight. We had a great time purchasing breads, especially the maple nut loaf and apple pie. It's definitely worth visiting and highly recommended for tourists looking for unique bakeries.

The bread was cheaper than many of the bakeries I have been to and they had some unique stuff using maple syrup, if I remember correctly. I got the mini donuts and a type of bun with Choco filling....

22時近くにまたパン屋さんの前を通りかかると なんとまだ明かりが点いていてお店が開いている じゃありませんか。 入店してみるとまだいろいろなパンがあり、 しかも22時なのに『焼き立てパン』がある！ 棚を見ると、1個1個ラップで包まれた手作りの パンが並んでいました。 コッペパンにポテトサラダやタマゴが挟んである サンドの具材のボリュームもスゴイ！ もうどれも美味しそう過ぎて全部買いたくなる(笑) 夜食用にパンを3個購入 ☑ポテトサラダサンド ☑チョコレートデニッシュ ☑アップルパイ 夜の仕事のお客さんも多いのだとか。 24時まで営業ってありがたいですね。 24時までなのでその都度お店の奥で焼いた 焼き立てパンを出しているんだなーと納得。 夜食に購入したパンを食べようと まずポテトサラダサンドを実食。 ポテトサラダの具材たっぷりで満足。 これ、タマゴサンドとかツナサンドのも 絶対美味しいだろうなぁ。 次にアップルパイを実食。 アップルがゴロゴロ入った家庭的なアップルパイ。 あーもう食べ始めたら止まらない(笑) 夜中だけど3個全部たべちゃう。 チョコレートデニッシュは表面だけでなく 中にもチョコが入っていて チョコ好きの人のためのチョコレートデニッシュ。 全部美味しかった！
