Im so confused as to why we had such a bad experience because everyone else gives this place such nice reviews. Firstly, there wasn’t a queue when we arrived at the cafe save for one japanese couple looking at the menu outside. It seemed like they hadn’t even decided whether they wanted to eat there or not so we walked past and to the door where we waited to be sat. Eventually a table got up to leave and a table for four became available (we were a group of three). It’s hard to see in the photo but you can see theres a table of 2 available in the back and between the man and the woman there is a table for four. For some reason they split the table for four into to ? And then sat the Japanese couple who finally decided they wanted to eat there on the split table ? I felt it was a little rude because not only did were we decisive about wanting to eat there but also there was space for everyone? It felt like they had prioritised giving the japanese couple more space over sitting everyone effectively (loads of people queued up after we were sat so it didnt even matter). When we finally ordered, my friends drink didn’t come at the same time as ours… we had to ask for it twice. Also they brought his food but no spoon. We asked for a spoon 4 times and they started cleaning tables instead of just bringing us our drink and spoon that we asked for? Then I found one of the little bristles from the matcha brush in my matcha because it spiked my tongue 🥲. Honestly i felt like my experience was hilariously bad we couldnt stop laughing...
Read moreWe happily stumbled across Nook the day after it opened, the staff were delightful and the food was delicious 😊 The almond butter acai bowl was dreamy, the greek yogurt was unlike anything else my dad had even eaten, he loved how thick and creamy it was and the it was fun to watch the bonito flakes being freshly cut for the rice dish. The coffee was great, we wanted to visit again but sadly they are closed on Monday's. If your craving something healthy, fresh and delicious you should definitely check...
