Nyorosuke Ginza — Restaurant in Tokyo

We went around 1:30 pm and there was no queue but the staffs said we will need to wait almost 1 hour for the food. We were not in a hurry so we accepted. We were 2 adults and 1 9yo girl who don’t eat much.

We were going to order 3 dishes and most restaurants nowadays require 1 dish per person. The waiter told us, we should order only 2 dish and share with our daughter. Honestly I was quite surprised and grateful at the same time. We know she won’t be able to finish a full serving.

It’s unagi served in many ways. I got the Premium Medium 2 pcs. Unagi cooked 2 ways over rice box. My wife got the Premium Medium 1.5 pcs.

The boxes came hot and smell of charcoal and it was amazing! The unagi tasted premium as it should. The rice was perfect compliment along with the seasonings. The glazed-grilled is my favorite. It was not sweet and it didn’t overpower the eel. The lightly seasoned grilled could use a touch more salt, so the seasoning on the table was a bit help.

I’m a big 115kg guy and I could not finished the medium size 2 pcs unagi. My wife shared with our daughter just barely finished theirs. I don’t see how anyone could finished the Finest Premium portion. Maybe if they shared it.

Overall it was a good lunch, not cheap but good. My only issue was the sitting on the floor was not for a guy my size. Oh, there’s no WiFi. Still highly...

Was here a year ago and was able to walk in for dinner without reservation.

Just here this evening again at 6pm without a reservation (the hotel tried to called to no avail). We asked for a table for 3 persons and was told to finish our meal by 640pm as the next customers will come by 645pm. We agreed. We ordered 2 medium and 1 small. Order was not repeated by the waiter so we thought all was accurate. Only 2 small portions came at 624pm, leaving us 16 minutes to finish up. For a place like this they served using disposables which was not the case in 2023. We also clarified we ordered 2 medium portions and 1 small but the waiter was adamant about it. We gave up trying to clarify. At 637pm, the waiter was standing by the door to clear our dishes.

This place does not seem very welcoming to foreigners, from the start until the end of service. Perhaps you really need to have a reservation or be Japanese or both.

Terrible service. I've never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. Right when we walked in, they asked us to order before we even sat down. That was strange. Then, they took us upstairs to the second floor, and it was completely empty. It felt like we were alone. After our food came, brought by someone who left right away, nobody checked on us. We wanted to ask about the food, especially the eel, but there was no one around. We were totally ignored. The service wasn't just slow; it was like there was no service at all. We were completely left alone. When I complained while paying, they just said they didn't have enough staff. That's not a good reason. If you can't serve people, don't seat them.

The food might have been okay, but the bad service ruined everything. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you feel forgotten. The prices they charge are too high for this kind of treatment. I don't recommend this place. You'll pay a lot and be...
