On our first day in Tokyo, we just ran into this ramen shop and decided to give it a go. It was a bit earlier than a regular dinner time so we happened to be the first customers of the dinner rush. Not long after, the shop got busier. The place only has seats for 8 or 10 people in total but the circulation is quite fast so you wouldn't wait too long to get a table if it was full when you first got there. Regarding the atmosphere, it had its own vibe. A small, chill little shop. To order a dish, you have to use the ticket machine. In case you can't speak/read Japanese, there is a small helpful paper right next to the machine with English names and pictures of the dishes. Get your tickets and hand them to the chef. Afterwards all you gotta do is wait for the delicious ramen and watch the chef doing his magic in the meantime. We ordered the spicy dan dan noodles with pork belly and a soft-boiled egg. The broth had two main elements sesame base (according to me taste buds😄) part and the spicy part. I really enjoyed that combo. The broth was hearty and well spiced, the meat (slices of pork belly) was tender and the shredded onions were a good touch on top. Beer on the side was our choice to wash it down. We liked it so much that we even went for a second time on one of the last days our Japan visit 😊 If you are on the hunt for some spicy ramen while in Tokyo, I'd say go check Ramen Yabuzuka out. Might be just the thing you're looking for 😉

Chanced upon this Ramen shop while searching food on Google map. There is no obvious signage other than a signboard outside. There was an English menu thoughtfully placed beside the vending machine. You can self help the water placed along the bar seats and each portion are cooked fresh. We had the Dan Dan Spicy noddles while the kids had soy sauce noodles. The broth for Dan Dan was not too salty for us, just nice, but we prefer the noodles texture of the soy sauce one. Chef is not overly conversational, but he provided us with small bowls and forks for the kids to munch on. I would sum it all up on having a hearty bowl of ramen, with reasonable pricing. Highly recommended 👍👍 P.S. While we did not have to wait upon arrival, there were diners waiting to be seated when we were leaving.

Known for its Dan Dan noodles, got the one with a soft boiled egg and one with the Cha Siu. The broth was very flavourful, a little nutty with a hint of spiciness, but overall not too salty. The noodles have a nice texture, egg was perfect, the Cha Siu was just ok. You order at the front using the vending machine. A simple meal, that hits the spot. We went right at open and it wasn't too busy. But by the time we left the store was almost full, but seemed like mostly locals coming in for a quick lunch.
