That's kind expectable that there's negative comment about the old lady staff, but she's actually a very nice person. I came here with my friend last year, we didn't bring enough cash last year and we don't know this cafe doesn't accept card for payment before we come, but she lets us sit down and order the food first🥹And keep telling us "it's ok, take your time". In the end she was trying to let us have the Shaved Ice for free, but we still put the money under the tissue box after my friend found a ATM and got the cash. HOWEVER, when we walked out the cafe for about few minutes, she ride a bike and caught up with us, gave us half of the money of the receipt. I didn't clearly remember too much and I don't know Japanese very well, but she said like "you guys come to Japan this long way, please keep these money for something else delicious". I'm not intend to say other's experience is misunderstanding or wrong, but this is how I experienced when I came to this cafe. 接待で海外からの友人と近くで食事をした後、偶然こちらのお店を見つけ、かき氷の写真がとても美味しそうだったので立ち寄りました。

開店直後に対応してくれた店員さんの表情や口調が少し厳しめで、「お一人様につき必ず一品を注文」と強めに告げられ、少し驚きました。長く日本で暮らしているので、相手の態度が友好的かどうかはすぐに感じ取れますが、最初の印象はあまり良くありませんでした。

かき氷は他のお客様の口コミ通り、とても大きなサイズで食べきるのはなかなか大変ですが、味はとても良かったです。特に、上からかけられた濃厚なヨーグルトとトッピングソースの組み合わせが絶妙で、上だけでなく一番下にもフルーツが入っており、最後まで食感が楽しめました。その他の店員さんは感じが良く、接客も丁寧でした。

ただ一点、改善をお願いしたいことがあります。ヨーグルトを作るミキサーが客席のすぐ後ろにあり、2台同時に稼働するとかなり大きな音が出ます。そのため、会話がほとんどできず、かき氷の量が多く滞在時間が長いこともあり、耳にも気持ちにも負担が大きかったです。できれば仕込みの時間や場所を工夫するか、せめて一声かけていただけると、より快適で心地よい時間になると思います。

After having lunch nearby with friends visiting from overseas, we found this shop by chance and were drawn in by the delicious-looking shaved ice in the photos.

When we arrived right after opening, the first staff member we met didn’t seem very friendly. Her expression and tone felt rather strict, telling us in a warning-like manner that “everyone must order one item.” Having lived in Japan for many years, I can easily tell whether someone’s being warm or not, and this first impression wasn’t very welcoming.

The shaved ice was exactly as other reviews mentioned—huge in size and a challenge to finish, but the taste was excellent. The highlight was the thick yogurt poured on top, paired with flavorful topping sauce. Not only were there fruits on top, but also hidden at the very bottom, making each bite interesting until the end. Other staff members were much friendlier, which balanced the overall experience a bit.

However, one thing I truly hope the shop can improve: the yogurt-making station with mixers is located right behind the customer seating area. When both mixers run at the same time, the noise is so loud that it’s hard to have a conversation. Since the shaved ice is big and you spend a long time eating it, the constant high-volume noise became tiring for both my ears and my mood. I hope the shop can consider preparing yogurt at a different time or location, or at least giving customers a heads-up, to make the experience more comfortable and...

This place are the worst cafe I’ve been to in Japan so far. The old lady (staff) is super rude to us cause. Cause only my friend speak Japanese but I don’t, and we are communicating in our mother tongue. I deeply felt we are not welcomed here. 😊

Me and my friend head there and not sure what to do so we wanted to ask about the queuing rules. The staff rudely told us to step out and we didn’t get any information other than standing outside of the cafe plus being exposed under the strong sunlight (pictures 1).

Not only this, while we are queuing outside after we figured out we need to buy tickets through the vending machine INSIDE of the cafe. There are two Japanese lady came after us and went in for order. The are no sign of them coming out. But when we finally get to sit inside (after the wait of nearly 40mins), we are shocked to find out that two Japanese lady were seated already.

The experience of being treated with unfairness and discrimination have deeply hurt us and will never comeback for the shop despite the food is just at the OK average. If anyone is doing research for the food plan in Asakusa and see this comment, please reconsider if you would like to visit this shop. If it is possible to give a 0/5, I would not hesitate to do so.
