Mister Donut - Asakusa Shop — Restaurant in Tokyo

This was our first Mister Donut we visited in Japan and it definitely became a place I had to find when we would visit another city in Japan! We stopped by towards the end of the night but they still had a decent selection of donuts remaining. We tried a couple that night and ate the rest the following morning. The donuts were so tasty and delicious! They were not overly sweet and were very well balanced. This location was a favorite of mine also because it was self-serve when picking the donuts. Their donuts is a must try when you visit Japan and it was no joke. The wide variety of donuts at the display counter already caught my eye when I entered the establishment. I just wanted to have it all.

I bought the mochi donut with uji matcha flavor and I instantly fell for it. The donut was very soft and rich in the matcha filling. I craved more of it after i finished it. So I went to get myself the original old fashion donut and it was very delicious as well.

If I had the chance I would buy all the donuts to give them all a try as they all look...

Compiling a few different locations into one review as the quality and taste were consistently excellent. We had the Angel Cruller, the custard filled donut, and three different varieties of the mochi pon-de-ring donut. All of these were delicious. The standard donuts were fluffy and sweet, and the mochi donuts had great chew. The seasonal sweet potato pon-de-ring was definitely my favourite, with the natural sweetness of the yam and a sugary glaze.
