I found an amazing restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of Thai dishes just by waiting at your table while chatting away with friends, so I had to share it!
It’s called Sendy Terrace, located in Tokyu Plaza in Ginza, and they offer an order-style buffet.
This time, we enjoyed the weekday lunch plan: 90 minutes including 1 drink for 2,860 yen.
Here’s what we ordered: ◯ Coriander (Pakchi) Salad ◯ Yum Woon Sen (glass noodle salad) ◯ Prawn Crackers ◯ Garlic Shrimp ◯ Fried Spring Rolls ◯ Fried Squid with Sweet and Spicy Sauce ◯ Boiled Squid with Seafood Sauce ◯ Pad Thai ◯ Grilled Chicken Thigh (Gai Yang) ◯ Green Curry with Chicken and Eggplant ◯ Jasmine Rice
We intended to have a light lunch, but we ended up fully indulging!
We started with a toast of pineapple juice.
Note: the Pakchi Salad and Garlic Shrimp are limited to one order per table.
Each dish comes in just the right portion, so it’s easy to try a variety of things, which is really nice.
The Pakchi Salad is made entirely with coriander—an absolute delight for pakchi lovers!
I personally love Yum Woon Sen, and this one was packed with celery, coriander, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and red onions—healthy and delicious.
The prawn crackers were huge and super crispy—totally addictive!
The Garlic Shrimp were soft-shell, so you can eat the whole thing including the head—so flavorful and absolutely amazing!
The Fried Spring Rolls were crisp on the outside and stuffed with minced meat filling—freshly fried and piping hot, just the way I like it.
The two squid dishes (fried and boiled) had different flavors and textures, so it was fun to compare.
The fried one came with a slightly spicy chili sauce.
The boiled one had a tangy, refreshing seafood sauce.
The Pad Thai had a mild, salty flavor with sakura shrimp on top. After eating the flavorful squid dishes, this one felt a bit on the lighter side.
The Gai Yang was a bit firm, but hearty and satisfying.
The Green Curry was authentic and absolutely delicious! Loaded with chunks of chicken and eggplant—this dish alone made the visit worth it.
We had plans to go for parfaits afterward, so we skipped dessert this time, but I’m looking forward to trying the mango pudding next time.
Even though it’s a buffet, the food is brought right to your table, so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy chatting—such a blessing!
If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Thai food or want to chat leisurely over a table-order buffet, definitely give this...
Read moreThe food was tasty and flavorful. The flavors were similar to the food I had in Thailand. I had their recommended chicken, curry stir fry (soft-shell crab) and their strawberry lassi, which appears to be a limited time option.
I deducted two stars on service because I may have been double taxed on my lassi drink and I left confused. The English menu reflected two prices - without tax (900 yen) and with tax (990 yen). I was charged 990 yen and an additional tax of 99 yen. I immediately brought it up as I already calculated my total. She seemed confused too and brought it up to her coworker (potentially manager) who explained that it was a...
Read moreThe portion of food is so small, compared to the pricing. The soup is very salty and u cannot even drink it. The sausage tastes sour. The worst sausage I have ever tried. And the service is below average. They waited for you to organize the table when they served the food. Also I am a bit worried about the security of my credit card since they took it away for a while.
Overall we won’t come back to this restaurant and don’t recommend this in terms of food...
