Giving overall 4 starts because the Beef was PHENOMENAL! However, there was language barrier between us and the restaurant staff but also amongst the staff themselves. Explanation for the menu was almost impossible & the staff was staring at us figure it out for multiple minutes which was a little uncomfortable.
Anyway the chef, Kyoshi had such a great attitude and was very pleasant! キヨシ、素晴らしい食事をありがとう!
The beef was truly melt in your mouth - we ordered the Premium Wagyu Course for almost 13,000 JPY. Order one prawn fresh out of the tank which was awesome.
The only thing that really threw off this experiencing was the awkward atmosphere. I understand we are foreigners but even using translation apps to ask questions wasn’t really helping. We were able to use the translation app to give compliments to the...
Read moreHad a terrific experience with my family at this restaurant. My wife found it from the reviews, and it was a bit difficult to locate, and when we showed up we were the first ones there (6:30pm) and felt maybe we had made a bad choice. We sat around a cooking surface (like benihana but not cheesy and much better in all ways..but we were only 4 and we could have been 6-7 easily). We had a great time talking with the staff (despite our lack of japanese / they spoke some english), and all of the dishes were terrific. I ordered the Premium Wagyu (medium rare) and it was simply incredible..melt-in-your-mouth like. Had never experienced steak like that before. Wow. Definitely recommend! Would be fun with a...

I didn't have a reservation and they were full and had to turn me away, which was totally understandable and fine. But the interaction left me with a bad taste.
The older Japanese lady at the register absolutely refused to make eye contact or make any effort to communicate, which isn't good for someone who's supposed to greet customers. She grunted a few times and actively avoided any interaction with me. A younger waitress eventually came over and helped explain to me in English - in contrast she had a good smile and was super friendly.
Very...
