Tempura Tsujimura — Restaurant in Tokyo

Tsujimura was just listed into 2019 Michelin Guide, we had the tempura course meal with each tempura served individually starting with crispy prawn head, Ebi, Megochi fish, Eggplant Oyster, GinkoSeeds, Sea Eel and LotusRoot...(depends on availability), the chef and his assistant was very friendly albeit the language barrier, he tried his very best to explain everything to us... unfortunately I speak limited Japanese for more extended conversation...the tempura was perfect with lightly soft batter outside, keeping the inner meat cooked to perfection, maintaining its juiciness.

We had dinner here, and really enjoyed the food. We both ordered the top set menu without sashimi, not because we don't like it but were concerned about amount of food. It was delicious from first appetizer to homemade ice cream. Well worth the approximately $55 a head cost. For 4 if us my total was $280 including beers. ReasonBle considering the quality of the meal, and being right there in a small establishment. This is a keeper and on my return. To list. Recommended. Btw they have an English menu for us...

Went for lunch at 1245 and there was no queue. Initially seated at a table but the chef kindly invited us to move to the counter after other patrons left. Tempura sets were very reasonably priced. The batter was thin but not lacking in crunch, and the different pieces were delicious without feeling at all oily. I was particularly impressed by the baby corn as well as the prawn and vegetable fritters....
