Taste: Ordered lunch set, with salad, curry rice and drink and a signature French toast separately. ( this is the purpose we come here for the French toast) The whole meal are up to standard for a casual restaurant in CBD.
The signature French toast is fluffy and melt in mouth, and in good size for two people.
Atmosphere: Busy restaurant in MARUNOUCHI area, especially in weekday lunch period. We line up almost an hour for our lunch., ummmmm if just come for lunch, you have to think about it . If come for the French toast, can come after the crazy lunch break. Is a spacious dinning place, but we had been arranged on a bar counter table, is not bad...
Read moreBeen here a few times. Expect 1-2 hour wait Especially since it goes viral on social media often 😅
Came on Monday and kept checking when line would go down. Early noon til 3pm still had full line. Almost no line at 4pm ✌️ (Table charge per person after 5pm)
The cafe also always has empty seats regardless of people waiting in line 😗
French toast price isn’t too bad 1550 for basic 1700 for some toppings 2200 for seasonal
650 for basic ice coffee 😓🫠😭 2420 total
Cashless payment only
The French toast in pan is actually a lot smaller than I recall it - did it get smaller? Huh 😓
Good enough reason to try the less viral alternatives 🤔
The French toast is fluffy but surprisingly not sweet on its own. No sugar used in making. I usually skip syrup but this needed it
The thick pan style French toast is good but imo not worth more than maybe a 30 min wait. Come after 4-5pm weekdays for small line
If you not are only looking to try this place due to the social media buzz, then consider order pan type French toast spots with less line and price (I’ve reviewed a lot)
Def overhyped 😗 And smaller. I’ve had it before & recall leaving stuffed. Now I finished it & could eat more
Imo the best thing about this spot, are the...
Read moreWe were baffled by the restaurant rule here. The lunch set menu includes an appetiser, pasta and an optional dessert, in which you can order their signature French toast by paying an additional 990 yen instead of full price. We ordered one lunch course including the dessert and planned to share it among ourselves, but then a waiter approached us and told us that we cannot order the French toast through the lunch set menu because we are sharing the dessert. Therefore, we have to order French toast through the à la carte menu which is in full price. This did not make any sense. The waitress who originally took our order tried to intervene, but the waiter sent her away. We were genuinely confused by this unreasonable restaurant rule.
As for the food quality, the pasta was cooked al dente but nothing astounding. The French Toast has a similar texture to a cake, and it was a bit too sweet for me. Perhaps I had high expectations for this meal, I ended up feeling...
