This is the best meal I had in Tokyo Japan 🇯🇵 After a 14 hour overnight flight from London, I went straight into a 1.5 queue in the pouring rain for this seafood rice bowl from Tsujihan… AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Tsujihan specialises in kaisen-don (raw, fresh seafood (kaisen) topped over rice (donburi)) and there are four to pick from on the menu – and four price points. The base option starts at ¥1250 and the seafood gets more luxurious and increase in quantity (crab, ikura and uni) as it goes up. You place your order in the queue then once you’re finally sat down, you’ll find your sides lined up already waiting for you: tea, miso, ginger, sea bream sashimi and its dipping sauce. REMEMBER TO SAVE TWO SLICES OF THE SASHIMI! More on that later. I upgraded to the max (when in Tokyo) and opted for the “Tokujyo” (¥3600/£23/$28 USD) which had triple ikura (salmon roe), triple uni (sea urchin), lean tuna, fatty tuna, shrimp, clam, squid, herring roe, cucumber, leek and rice. I was NOT prepared for the towering bowl of seafood – literally, there’s a mountain of it on a bed of rice. Each bite of this was fresh, creamy, a textural explosion of flavours and had my eyes rolling all the way back… and then some. Once you’re halfway through, put your bowl on the counter and the staff will top it up with piping hot sea bream broth to turn it into ochazuke. Mix in your remaining sashimi and enjoy this bonus second dish. The perfect way to end a winter’s meal in Japan! LOCATIONS 📍 - CASH ONLY. I went to the main branch in Nihonbashi (minutes rom Ginza station) 20 mins before the restaurant opened - there was already an hour long queue. The others are in Kagurazaka and Akasaka. - Address: つじ半 日本橋本店 3-1-15 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo #japan #tokyo #tsujihan #japanfood #japaneats #japanvlog #kaisendon #seafood #sashimi #donburi #tokyoexplores #japanesefood #japanexplore #traveltokyo #traveljapan #tokyoeats #tokyojapan #tokyotrip #japanfoodie #ochazuke #sashimilover #tokyoeats #japanesecuisine

WHAT WE ATE IN TOKYO // Part 1! The #1 thing I was most excited. The thing I was most excited for in visiting Japan, was eating all of the delicious food I put in a lot of time and effort researching the best places to go, and here are some of my absolute favorite places that we visited on our 10 day trip to Japan. 1. Tsujihan ZEITAKU DON つじ半 日本橋本店: (no reservations, walk in only). This place has been all over my Instagram and TikTok so I had to give it a go. We got there at 10:15 on a Sunday and were the first people that were let in when it opened at 11 AM. Fish was super fresh and delicious and was very affordable Absolutely worth visiting if you’re OK with lining up 2. Oreryu Shio-Ramen: (no reservations, walk in only). No line when we went at 3pm on a weekday, but when we walked by another day around dinner time, there was a long line. Absolutely delicious Rahman, I think if I went back, I would order something a little bit lighter. 3. Sushi Panchi 鮓ぱんち: (reservations required). Available for lunch or dinner Omakase. Would highly recommend, delicious fresh sushi!

Everything I ate in Tokyo Japan day one 🇯🇵 landed at 9am (midnight in London), a quick drop-off with luggage and I was straight in the queue for the first meal by 10:40am! The sky poured but it didn’t dampen my hunger or willpower. - Starting off with zeitaku don (seafood rice bowl) from Tsujihan. I went to the branch in Chuo City 20 mins before the restaurant opened - and there was already an hour long queue! I went for the biggest rice bowl they had (because it had extra extra ikura and umi and I LOVE IT SO MUCH). The “tokujyo” costs ¥3600 (£23/$28 USD) and has salmon roe (x3), sea urchin (x3), tuna, fatty tuna, shrimp, clam, squid, herring roe, cucumber, leek and rice. It has comes with sea bream sashimi, a bowl of hot soup and tea - Royal Milk Tea and Genmaicha Tea from a FamilyMart nearby. Each costs between ¥110- ¥160 (£0.70 - £1.02/ $0.86 - $1.25) - An unofficial omakase at Kinome - a small Japanese restaurant 6 minute walk from the hotel! The menus were entirely in Japanese so I asked the (really lovely) server if she could bring out her favourites. “I eat everything but particularly love seafood!” I had: - Grilled sesame tofu - Salted roasted ginkgo berries - Mixed vegetables - A pan fried crispy minced fish cake type of dish with veggies inside - Sashimi selection of freshly caught local fish - Rolled silky egg with daikon - Sliced rare duck slices (served cold) - A Japanese style stewed fish head called kabutoni - it was served with root vegetables and cooked with soy sauce, ginger and sugar Went to the FamilyMart and had a hot lemon honey tea then went to bed very jet lagged and SO HAPPY AND SATISFIED!!! What a way to start the first day?! #japan #japanfood #japaneats #whatieatinaday #whatiate #japanvlog #tokyo #tokyoexplores #japanesefood #japanexplore #traveltokyo #traveljapan #japanexperience #seafood #familymart #minivlog #travelvlog #tsujihan

🇯🇵 Tokyo Station Food | Really Delicious! But I Advise You Not to Queue for 2 Hours … This place is 🔥🔥 super popular among both Japanese locals and tourists! The food is indeed delicious, and the portion is [色色R][色色R] really generous, piled high like a mountain; but waiting in line for 2 hours is really not recommended; especially in winter, you might end up freezing and [生气R][生气R] getting frustrated, because the shop only has about 12 seats, so turnover is very slow! … 💫 Shop Name: Tsujihan ZEITAKU DON, Nihonbashi Branch 💫 Address: 1F, Kuei Building, 3-1-15 Nihonbashi, Chuo City, Tokyo, 103-0027, Japan 💫 Business Hours: 11:00-21:00 💫 Route: 3-minute walk from Tokyo Station or Nihonbashi Station 💫 Price: 1250-3600 yen (cash only) … The shop only sells one type of dish, which is seafood donburi, divided into four levels: ⭐️ Ume: 9-ingredient mountain of seafood donburi (1250 yen) ⭐️ Take: [Ume] + salmon roe + crab meat (1650 yen) ⭐️ Matsu: [Ume] + salmon roe + sea urchin + crab meat (2250 yen) ⭐️ Tokujo: Deluxe version of [Matsu] … A full nine ingredients, piled high like a mountain, even just looking at it is super therapeutic! Two parts of 🍣🍣 tuna, salmon roe, 🦐🦐 fresh shrimp, squid, cucumber, clams; each bite is incredibly 🌈🌈 rich in flavor! 👍👍 Personally, I recommend the [Take]: the sensation of popping salmon roe on your tongue is really [赞R][赞R] too satisfying! Although I also love sea urchin, it wasn't particularly impressive here. 🍣🍣 As shown in Figure 2, four slices of sea bream sashimi do not need to be ordered separately, they come with the seafood donburi; unlike regular sashimi paired with soy sauce, this one is paired with sesame sauce, which is truly ❤️❤️ stunning! … 💯💯 The Correct Way to Eat 1⃣️ Pour soy sauce over and mix well with the seafood 2⃣️ Leave about a third of the seafood, adding 2 slices of sea bream sashimi 3⃣️ Place the bowl on the counter in front of you, and the chef will take it away and bring you a bowl of 🥣🥣 thick soup 4⃣️ Enjoy the different texture with the sea bream soup … 💫💫 The final step of the sea bream soup, I am truly hooked [色色R][色色R]! So fresh and so refreshing! Thick but not greasy, flavorful but without any fishy smell! And geniusly adding 🍊🍊 yuzu, instantly elevating the taste to a refreshing level! Absolutely, really amazing [得意R][得意R]! … As the title suggests, if it's just for seafood, you can probably find better options near Tsukiji Market, waiting here for 2 hours is really [捂脸R][捂脸R] not worth it; but this soup, it really makes me want to come back a million times;据说 people say the queue is a bit less after 4pm and 8pm, good luck 🌈🌈 everyone! #JapaneseFood #GinzaFood #JapanTravel #WhatToEatInJapan #PopularJapaneseCuisine #JapaneseCuisine #TokyoFood #LocalFavorite
