My gf and I were craving for some Yakiniku and found this place on Google Maps. When we arrived, it was packed and the staff initially estimated that we had to wait for 2 hours as it doesn't seem like the other customers were leaving yet. Though the food looked really good and it felt like a waste to leave since we were already there.
Fortunately for us, we only had to wait for about 10 mins to get a table. Though I do recommend making a reservation or going to the place during non peak hours as the restaurant is quite small with limited tables.
Another thing to note is that the place can get a bit smokey, though that's how you know it's authentic and part of the experience. In addition, the staff will provide you with a plastic bag for you to keep your things so it won't get dirty.
They do not have an English menu but Yuji speaks fluent English and will be able to help you out. He's really an amazing and friendly guy who will be able to recommend you what's best.
The food was absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the best Yakiniku in Tokyo!
Lastly, the bill was affordable for Tokyo's standards. It was about 9000 yen and we had a lottt.
A must...

We were recommended this restaurant by a business down the street (Tap&Crowler) when we asked what their favorite place to eat in the area was. Walking up without a reservation they took our name and had us come back in about an hour, so I would recommend you have a reservation if you want to ensure getting in at a specific time. No English menu but when it came time to order the host helped us decide what to get based on what was popular and ensuring we got a good quantity for 2, he spoke enough English for us to all get by. The other servers tended to not speak much English but they were all great at being able to still express to us the proper way to prepare each meat if they were delivered with a dipping liquid or something similar.

Read moreA BBQ restaurant so special that its claim to fame isn't the food, but the atmosphere where you have to control your breathing just to survive. This establishment is so unpretentious, it could be its own category in the Michelin Guide to Japanese Curiosities. Now, a word to the wise about ordering beef intestine: it's not just food, it's an accelerant. You'll ignite the grill conveniently located just 15 centimeters away, while summoning a smoke cloud that would make a magician proud. My willpower caved after a few bites and run away immediately, I stand on the street corner, Googling "animal with a black face and bloodshot eyes" which is me after...
