TAP & CROWLER TOKYO SHIBUYA — Restaurant in Tokyo

I visit 3-5 craft beer bars in Tokyo every week and this place was just extremely overpriced. They charge more for 3/4 pint than other shops do for a pint of the exact same beer. There is no excuse for that. This shops prices are 20-25% higher than others. It's also ridiculous that they don't serve full pints. What bar doesn't offer a pint of beer? This shop is also particularly small, they don't serve food, and they only have one cooler. When I visited, one of the staff had no idea how to actually pour a beer either. He just poured the beer into the middle of the glass and it was 30% foam.

If you're a craft beer fan, there is no reason to go here. Other shops in Tokyo have the same beers for a lot less money, and you can get a pint!

EDIT: Your concept is to serve craft beer with foam!? What!? Do you know anything about craft beer? You are the ONLY shop in Tokyo that serves craft beer with foam. So you charge 25% more for the exact same beers as other stores in Tokyo and then you only give 50% of the beer (3/4 pint, then 30% foam). That is purely crazy!

I spend 100,000¥/mo at craft beer bars and purchasing cans/bottles. I just don't want to be scammed at your bar with crazy prices and 30% foam. Craft beer should be poured...

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Tap and crowler, and I must say that it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly and accommodating owner and his staff Tony who made us feel right at home.

The craft beer selection at this establishment is truly impressive, with a wide variety of unique and delicious brews. Whether you're a seasoned beer connoisseur or simply looking to try something new, there is something for everyone here.

What really sets this establishment apart, however, is the level of care and attention that goes into each and every beer. From the sourcing of high-quality ingredients to the careful brewing process, it is clear that a lot of thought and expertise goes into every pint.

I highly recommend this craft beer establishment to anyone looking for a great selection of high-quality brews and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. And a special commendation goes to Tony and the owner for his exceptional hospitality and dedication to his craft.

In a part of Shibuya largely crowded with nightclubs, I was looking for a place to grab a couple of drinks that was more my scene (I'm 40 and traveling alone and the nightclubs vibe is not it for me) and I found it here. Great beer selection, excellent music playing (Marvin Gaye, Gap Band, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, etc. playing the night I was here - yes, please!) , busy enough to make for a nice atmosphere but quiet enough to allow me to sit for a little while enjoying my beer and a book. Exactly the kind of place I enjoy hanging out for a bit and was pleasantly surprised to find in this neighborhood. Service was great, the man behind the bar noticed when my drink was low and made good recommendations. As a vegetarian I was stoked to see that there were a handful of vegetarian options on the menu.
