We ordered 2 sukiyaki set and 1 steak set.
The sukiyaki set includes 2 appetizers and I could pick from the menu. The young male waiter was sincere at the beginning but lack of experience to serve customers. The beef quality was really top, beef slices were perfectly cooked and soft.
I would like to say something about the young waiter. We were being served by this guy in a separate room which was opposite to the reception area. We ordered drinks and 3 dinner sets, pretty straight forward. We waited 15 mins and politely asked the server about our drinks. This gentleman totally forgot what he took down the order and asked us again about the drinks. We said plum wine with soda and a coke cola. He said ok and the plum wine arrived 5 mins later. However, the coke hasn’t arrived yet and he put down a glass of ice but no coke being served. We politely asked him as we saw a bottle of Coke was on the far end serving table. He said oh yes and delivered the coke. My husband finished the coke and he didn’t order a second one.
At the same time, one of the appetizers didn’t arrive and we simply enjoyed the sukiyaki and not bother to ask him to follow up.
When I settled the bill, I noticed 2 cokes were counted rather than 1, which was not correct. We politely asked the server to check again and he insisted my husband ordered a second coke and not willing to amend the bill. It was a bit ridiculous as we didn’t order 2 coke. The server said at the beginning we ordered 1 coke and another coke was ordered during the meal. He just made up the whole story by himself and forced us to pay the incorrect bill! We could afford to enjoy a sukiyaki set that was ¥14000 and why should we told lies and asked for a free coke which was only ¥605!!
We insisted not to pay the double charged coke and he started to give us a long face. His colleague talked to him and he checked the inventory and noticed we were correct that only one glass of coke was ordered. He did apologized when I settled the bill and I used Google translate to provide some customer serving feedbacks to him. The overall dining experience was good except this part as it was not a serious matter. This young waiter was 1) lack of memory, 2) lack of servicing skills and 3) lack of responsibility to bear his own mistakes.

Read moreA remarkable Wagyu Shabu-Suki Experience in Ginza
Nestled in the heart of Ginza, this hidden gem of a shabu-suki restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience, specializing in premium Wagyu beef. Located on the B1 floor of a discreet building, stepping inside feels like entering a different era, with its beautifully curated vintage Japanese interior that sets the tone for an intimate and refined meal.
For 13,000 yen, I indulged in a Wagyu shabu set featuring a luxurious combination of A3, A4, and A5 cuts. Each slice was impeccably marbled, melting effortlessly in the simmering broth. Adding to the charm, the restaurant serves its shabu in a beautifully aged vintage-style pot, which enhances the traditional ambiance and deepens the overall experience. The dipping sauce was a standout—perfectly balanced, enhancing the natural richness of the beef without overpowering it. The accompanying vegetables were incredibly fresh, adding a crisp contrast to the decadent meat.
Beyond the shabu, the Wagyu steak was another highlight. Expertly seared, it boasted a rich umami depth, with a buttery texture that lingered with each bite. Every element of the meal showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
Service was warm and attentive, with staff eager to guide diners through the experience, ensuring that every detail was just right. Whether you’re a Wagyu enthusiast or simply looking for an exceptional meal in Ginza, this restaurant is highly recommended. It’s an experience that blends tradition, luxury, and hospitality into one...
Read moreAfter pandemic gap, this place is up and running - fully. The food has been consistently great, the service super, and it was so wonderful to be able to enjoy what has been the same for decades, once again. The lunch Shabushabu Set had everything in a reduced scale compared to the dinner, but it was still fantastic! If you don't like too much beef fat, you can request leaner beef, too, but for the full flavor of the great quality Japanese beef, try the marbled one as is. I don't eat beef (particularly marbled one) too often, but Shabushabu style cooking (of dipping a paper thin meat in boiling broth on the table) makes it less oily and it is also served with plenty of vegetables, along with two different types of dipping sauces - so this is probably the healthiest and the most delicious way to enjoy marbled beef! This place will remain one of the top ten places that I want to visit every time when I'm in Tokyo. This restaurant is tucked in under a large building lower floor, off main Ginza Street, and I love this location for it's convenience (to subway, taxi, or ambling to nearby JR station) and unassuming atmosphere, but it still retains the old Japanese restaurant services, including servers in kimono, in an old...
