You can't beat this place! Great location in the heart of Yokohama with great views and scenes of this beautiful city. Easy to find as well. Plus, it's around a lot of other convenient shops and stores unlike other places out in the middle of nowhere. I was here with my girlfriend so keep in mind this was a visit for two (cost and food wise). The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was so attentive to our needs. The food options were great with so many items for selection but it wasn't overwhelming by no means. Appetizers, main courses, desserts were all available. Nothing was in shortage with everything in stock. The drink options were great too, a lot of non-alcoholic drinks choices for those who are driving. They had superb taste as well, not lacking in flavor at all with whatever your taste buds have in mind (sweet, sour, etc.). Their service hours are very optimal as well including good hours for their lunch and dinner. Speaking of that, I want to go back for dinner to experience what that's like because the lunch there was beyond my expectations. I would recommend this place for all Hard Rock Café fans and foodies alike. Good music with great food, what's not to like? You don't want to come to Yokohama and NOT go here because you'd be missing out! 10/10...

I'm a Yokohama resident, and Caucasian. Four of the last Five times I've been here, I've been seated in the back, right next to the kitchen, and away from all the ambience that makes a Hard Rock visit enjoyable. Two of the times were at the very same table! The one time I did get seated in the main restaurant, I was with my wife, who is Japanese.
Hard Rock refuses to reply to emails on the issue. They refuse to address why foreigners, of which many were around, but all seated near the kitchen, are pushed to the back of the restaurant. They do have English speaking staff, but I've witnessed them serving in other sections aside from those less preferable, and as a foreigner who speaks Japanese, it's an insult to be pushed into a corner, after frequenting their establishment for many years.
The reasoning behind their policies and lack of reply is clear; they believe their Japanese customers desire a foreigner-free dining experience, and want to remove them from visibility in the restaurant proper to accommodate that perceived desire.
On your visit to Yokohama during the 2020 Olympics, let's assist the Hard Rock Cafe in giving it what it tries to hard to create: a foreigner-free dining experience. Hard Rock Cafe: ...
Read moreIt's very expensive. The music is so loud it's kinda hard to hear others, but I reckon that's intended to be part of the atmosphere. At least some of the staff speak OK English, and the waitresses are cute and very responsive. Also, the wait times were reasonable, but they also didn't seem very busy at the time.
The menu variety is good. I had the macaroni, quesadilla, and a BLT. The macaroni was pretty basic, while the BLT was honestly well done. BLTs are a foreign concept in Japan, so I was expecting some odd addition or for there to be more lettuce than anything else, but it was actually stuffed with bacon. It was all good, though, including the quesadilla. Their fries are decent, too.
If you're looking for American food I'm not sure you're going to do much better than this in the Minato Mirai area, but you're gonna pay a good...
