Restoran Asian Nasi Kandar — Restaurant in Borneo

Definitely a place to go if you crave Nasi Kandar. The curries and meats are very flavourful and tender. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. The quality of the food is good (not sure about the consistency which I will be back to review). The staffs were very accommodating and kind.

We ordered the Lamb Shank and Ayam Madu Biryani which costed about RM35. The biryani was spicy, herby and flavourful which is rarely the case elsewhere. The honey chicken was very sweet with no saltiness which might not be for everyone. The lamb shank was very tender and filled with meat. They gave other sides such as acar (pickled veges), long beans, cabbage, egg and papadom. They also told us the biryani rice refills are free of charge! That was more than enough for two people!

We also ordered the Murtabak Kambing with Kuah Kambing. I am very impressed with the generous amount of lamb inside and the roti was also super crispy on one side which was super delicious and addictive!! The lamb aroma was very strong and flavourful.

Overall, highly recommend dining here! I would definitely be coming back for more. Although the food is just a little above average, all the positive things combined just makes us want to come...

Food is nice, but if you want to dine in, they will urge you to order drink for everyone.

So if you want to share drink or not fan of having drink outside, you will be pressured constantly by different people asking you to order drink. Not very comfortable experience.

Clean restaurant with plenty of food options ie roti canai, nasi kandar, nasi/mee goreng etc. Their canai is pretty standard, however their dhal is quite lacking. Nasi Briyani Kambing is decent - rice is delicious but the lamb curry was not great.
