Wen Xin Casserole 文心砂锅 — Restaurant in Borneo

A very underrated restaurant in my opinion. I believe the bad reviews are due to slightly higher prices than usual, but this is so unreasonable. 1st of all, the prices are clearly visible even from outside the restaurant, secondly the place is well decorated, clean and well served, so one should be ready to pay slightly more for the food, and surely the overall experience was worth the price we paid. The food was very good, at least for European standards, can't judge for Asian standards though. The service was fast, the ingredients good, the ambience very welcoming, with yellow lights and amber wooden tables and chairs. Surely a place I would visit multiple times...

The mapo tafu is not very authentic, feel like they used packet chili, and it does not even have the numbing pepper corn spicy.

But their poach lamb noodle 🍜 is very, very delicious, and the gammy taste of the lamb in the soup with the noodle make it nice delicious 😋. And the beef fried rice is also delicious too, not dry mix vegetable & slice beef & fried rice very compliment to each other makes...

Very expensive for a pot of chicken with black soy and chili RM60 and the taste is just mediocre. Not worth it, doesn’t taste authentic at all. The okra is fibrous (old) served with black soy and crispy chopped garlic. The cucumber salad is nice. The owner is mainland China guy but the food is not authentic...
