Grandis Hotels and Resorts — Hotel in Borneo

WORST EXPERIENCE & THEIR STAFF RUDENESS One of my worst hotel stays was at the Grandis Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The timing wasn’t the best either, after endemic hotel seem fully book and back to back i understand.

Even this is my first time and first experience check in 4pm but get the room key 8.20pm.

I have call 12pm to let receptionist about my arrival time

of coz I did my request with seaview room booking through synexis and I pay for Rm140 superior and upgrade to Deluxe studio additional want me pay RM195 per night

but what I have with my upgrade room licking in bathroom and 2 sius head at study table not working

I did make my complaints but no fix or and action from any maintenance.

I felt so disappointed, but the worst thing experience from hotel staff. when the senior reception told my brother her sister so demand for room need same floor so u guy have to wait until 8pm????

for me that no right telling your customer like that. It is rude way

I am paying for the room that why we book your hotel with facilities we want.

with all this incident, I can't blame anyone but I am sharing hope you guy be prepare if wanna stay here as a customer u guy need to be prepare facing same thing like me .

I hope management can relook back your staff behaviour. my total stay revenue RM950 spending in your hotel what I want is my family to enjoy stay but not the worst memory you give me and ruin my day.

This is my second time staying at the Grandis Hotel. The location is great but the check in service counter is very inefficient, takes too long, in fact only two staff will be at the counter even during the critical time of school holidays. Every time you want to check in, there must be a long line. I don’t understand why it takes so long right because our information has all been provided by trip.com. The worst thing was I was also heat sweaty while sleeping in room 1211, the room aircond could not be adjusted, I had made a report at the counter at 6pm, they even sent a technical to help fix it. Technical reasons, need to set aircond pipes on the ceiling of the room. Because sometimes guests do not want to feel cold. I told the technician, why not just set the control button, why have to go up on the ceiling of the room. He just smiles. After that, I left the room for dinner event and returned to the hotel at 11pm, that time the temperature was 25'c. I still hold and be patient because I just switch it on. however the accident happened during 12 am, the whole room felt hot so i had to take off the my shirt because of the 27'c temperature. I was sweating and couldn’t sleep until 6am, and I had to booked to another hotel to sleep before returning to the Grandis Hotel to check out at 11am. This is my first time staying in Grandis hotel. Walking into the hotel, the staff are welcoming and answered all our questions politely. The room on the 12th floor, facing city view, is very comfy and clean. I stayed here 3 nights. First night, the aircon was too cold, but the housekeeping adjusted it for us. On the second day evening, there was a problem with the water pressure. I showered halfway, the water turned cold and no water came. We reported it and luckily the hotel staff rectified the problem within 30min. So I get to continue my shower. Buffet breakfast was great. Variety of food. Even I stayed 4 days here, the food doesn't repeat. The only minor problem is the food is not hot enough. Tried the dinner buffet too. Variety of food. Attentive and friendly staff. We had a great dinner experience here. In term of the location, the construction around the hotel is not enjoyable. Blocking the nice sea view. But easily accessible to Suria mall. Which is very convenient. Walking distance to other restaurants and malls around. I am a little sad that the pool is under construction during my stay here. Visited the roof top bar too.
