Date: October 2024 Nights: 4 nights

The Hayati is the premier hotel choice for your visit to KK, offering a prime location and exceptional services overall.

The hotel is situated in the central northern part of the city, surrounded by numerous restaurants and coffee shops. Key attractions are easily accessible on foot; for instance, the boat terminal to Gaya Island is just a five-minute walk away. Services / Team: The entire team at the hotel is outstanding. We would especially like to thank the front manager Andre, who truly enhanced our stay. The services are delivered by a young, local team fluent in English, maintaining a consistently high standard of quality throughout the hotel.

The check-in experience was seamless and efficient, and we had the pleasure of meeting the front manager on our arrival night.

We stayed in two different rooms: The first room featured a moonlit view, spacious with modern furniture, impeccably clean, and equipped with a small balcony. The second room offered an ocean view, identical in layout to the first but located on a higher floor. Bed: Exceptionally comfortable and spacious, with fresh, clean bedding. Bathroom: The shower was large with excellent water pressure. The toilet is separate from the shower and maintained in pristine condition. The standout feature is the two mirrors that add a stylish touch to the room. Internet Connection: The connectivity was flawless; we managed several days of work and Zoom calls without issues throughout the hotel. Views: Both room views were lovely, but we highly recommend opting for the ocean view. Cleanliness: The room was consistently clean and well-organized every day. Breakfast: Breakfast was remarkable. Upon entering the restaurant, charming staff members warmly welcomed us and guided us to our table. The selection was extensive, ranging from fresh seasonal fruits and egg stations to an impressive array of local dishes and an abundance of sweet breads and desserts. Each day, a special menu was offered for those wishing to try something beyond the buffet. Additionally, we were treated to mimosas during our final days. The quality and flavor of the food were absolutely delightful. Pool: The rooftop pool is adjacent to the bar and features an ocean-flowing design. It is open-air with several lounge chairs, along with four showers and changing rooms. The pool staff were always friendly, offering dry towels. The highlight of the pool experience is the breathtaking sunset views while swimming. Quality vs Price: The hotel offers great value for the quality provided. Although it is the priciest hotel in the city, the level of service, food quality, and overall experience make it well worth. Highlights: For us, the standout aspect was the exceptional service and the wonderful people who made our stay so comfortable.

A large shopping mall is located directly across from the hotel, featuring various shops, restaurants, and pharmacies.

We highly recommend The Hayati for your stay in...

My wife and I had a fantastic 4D/3N stay at the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, which is the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Malaysia. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, along the scenic KK waterfront, with easy access to the Jesselton Point pier, the SICC, and the local shopping and dining The hotel offers a stunning view of the South China Sea and the city skyline from its rooms and facilities.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a big flat-screen TV, an electric iron with a sturdy stand, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, and a minibar with a Nespresso machine. We loved the locally inspired décor and the custom artwork that reflected the culture and heritage of Sabah. The room also had free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and a safe. The bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries, towels, and a hairdryer. The bed was cocosynd the linens were fresh. We enjoyed the sea view from the large windows and the private balcony with an outdoor single sofa set with a small side table, which was perfect for a drink while watching the sunset.

The breakfast was included in our stay, and it was delicious and varied. I had a choice of halal local and international cuisines, such as Wake up shots mix fruit drinks, fried Tuaran mee, fried rice, roti canai, toast, eggs, sausages, beef, mutton, chicken satay cereals, and local fruits. The breakfast was served at the ON22 Cafe, which had an attractive spiral staircase to the ON23 Penthouse, a nice ambience and a great view of the sea. The staff were friendly attentive, and helpful. We were impressed by the quality and the service. The hotel also had an outdoor pool, a fitness centre a bar and a cafe at the ON23 Penthouse. We did not use these facilities but made a quick tour of them and found that they were well-maintained and enjoyable. The hotel also offered a parking garage with valet parking services, a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk, and a concierge service.

Overall, we had a great stay at Hyatt Centric Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for comfortable and convenient accommodation in Kota Kinabalu. The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay, and the staff are very helpful and professional. I would defy here again if I visit Kota Kinabalu in the future. P/S. I was trapped after my shower as the glass door was jammed when l tried to open it by pulling the door instead of pushing. Thankfully, the hotel maintenance staff came quickly to the rescue by removing the plastic seal of...

Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu: Breathtaking views, impeccable service, & unforgettable experience!

Liked · Hyatt Centric provided me with an incredible and unique experience. The hotel's stunning panoramic views of the South China Sea from the infinity pool and 21st-floor restaurant where the breakfast was served were mesmerizing.

The impeccable service and attention to detail from the staff made me feel valued and pampered throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration memorable, exceeding my expectations in every way.

The hotel's location is surrounded by a shopping mall just a stone's throw away. Is also near the Jensentten Jetty within 5 mins walk making exploring the various islands hopping convenient.

The diverse range of dining options, including starred restaurants, satisfied our palates. Hyatt Centric combines, amenities, views, and accessibility to create a magical stay. It will be my go-to destination in Kota Kinabalu.

Room 1801 was awesome very quiet with privacy with a nice greenery mountain view. The room is huge and clean. The bathroom is spacious. The bed & pillow were comfortable. Oh ya, a special highlight the sliding door is fantastic the soundproof effects work so well.

The fitness centre operates 24-hour access with the room card it was well equipped and with a scenic mountain view

The breakfast was a good international spread

Special thanks to the flagstaffs

Ms. Yasmin - met her upon check although I arrived an hour earlier she manage to escalate the room service to get the room ready and let me check in earlier.

Front manager Mr. Yusof - Humble helpful guy he goes the extra mile to book a Grab car for me during check out heading to Airport.

Disliked · There was nothing I didn't like about Hyatt Centric although on my return stay to Hyatt Centric from Gaya Island there were some hiccups that cause the water heater extra hot and the wifi was down after informed the room services, it was attended promptly by their technician.

Hyatt Centric genuinely cares for its guests and goes above and beyond to make the experience here unforgettable. Faultless!

I would highly recommend Hyatt Centric if you visit Kota Kinabalu.

What no nasi lemak for breakfast? Yes! Ladies and gents... For those staycationers and tourists who are looking forward to try nasi lemak at the breakfast buffet you might be surprised that Hyatt Centric is not serving the dish. Personally, it is quite an interesting decision by the management since nasi lemak is ALWAYS served by hotels in Malaysia. But, overall my experience with Hyatt Centric's breakfast was not that bad. The foods tasted okay but do not expect for variety. They serve quite limited selections of food. And... If the hotel management is reading this - please labels those local kuehs so that foreigners would not be too "afraid" to pick those. So far Promenade, Grandis, Le Meridien, and Marriot serve the best breakfast in KK. Hyatt Centric... maybe you can learn from these hotels. Room - I was staying at 803 with a friend and we could say that the room was spacious and it had a modern look. Thumbs up for the mini coffee maker set... It is so fun to use! The TV could be paired up with our phone and we could watch Netflix and Disney+ on a wider screen. So don't worry too much about the limited channels provided by the hotel... just turn on your Netflix! Overall the hotel is a pleasant experience for my friend and I. Will I come again? Maybe... Why maybe? Because I really think the price needs to be made more competitive... I think it is a tad pricey for the level of service they are offering.
